I loved Cohen's spins. Her beilman was the weakest, probably due to not really have to train it until CoP.

Alissa would be my pick for currently skaters. At TEB her spins were miles ahead of others

What has happened to Mirai's spins this season? At TEB they were painfully slow. She needs her spins since that's one of the strengths in her skating. She's always been a great spinner but something has changed this year.

At COC, they were OK, not at the level at Worlds last year, but pretty good. At TEB she had several bobbles on them, and with me hearing Frank asking her if her layback felt OK or not makes me think that she's not really focusing on them at this time like Caroline Zhang, and deciding instead to focus on her jumps and regaining everything after her injury.

Layback Spin: Sasha, Mirai (last year)

    Y Spin: Asada, Czisny

Camel Spin: Mirai, Asada, Czisny, Nakano, Chan

    Sit Spin: Lambiel

Most improved: Oda. His sit spins in the short at the gpf were very fast and well centered.
I do not know why Akiko and Yuna are on this poll. I have always found their spins to be their weakest links.

    What? No pairs?
I'm going to twizzle into a triple axel and spiral out of it.

    Stephane, Alissa, Sasha.

Alissa's are too fast for me; it's like I can't appreciate the position and I don't like how her arms are in her layback and I don't even know why.

Oh, Angela Nikodinov's layback... That, with Sasha's, are/were the best laybacks ever.

At the 2006 Olys gala Sasha did a FANTASTIC Biellmann. Never saw it again. Otherwise it was slow and blah.

Love her or not, you can't deny Alissa this particular honor.

that's not exactly fair for mirai. the spins were okay at china but she skated into a rut in france. thats why she couldnt do her layback/bielmann in the LP. the other spins of the season seemed fine to me.

She actually also had some bobbles on her flying sit and in her layback in the SP. That's part of the reason why she wasn't as fast on them. I'm sure she'll get them up to full speed by Nationals.

I'm continually amazed by Alissa's spins. The bielmann at the GPF was so fast and seemed to go on forever.

I wonder if it's not possible for Alissa to hold the standard layback position for the entire duration of the spin. The free leg always drop down after about 3 revolutions.

I think her back camel position and her back camel catch spin are not her best although they are still relatively fast.
