Redone poll: Awesome OGM winning LPs since 1980 (pick 4)

I only chose three as G&P 98 weren't on there.

I loved G&P's memorial FD (regardless of what Tracy Wilson said about it), but I was limited to 12 options and I wanted to have 3 in each discipline (otherwise I could have had 2 pairs and 4 ice dance teams), so G&P did not make the list. Sorry. It still was one of the great FDs.

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't old enough to watch most of these performances live, so it takes the "oomph" out of the context of these moments. Hence:

T/D (perfection is perfection), Yagudin, Boitano vs. Orser, M/D. Yeah, I would put Lysacek in the top 5 even though he's not on the poll. Kim--I liked her short better than her long.

I dunno why but I went with the three dance options. They are ice dancing at its most perfect. And If GP Memorial would have been included, it will get my last vote (which went to Kim).

3rd g&g gorgeous couple, never be another

2nd Kim was totally perfect not one error, gorgeous jumping and pushed skating technically, loved the dress

Why isn't Lysacek on this poll?

I would like to have voted for Mish/Dmitriev because I loved that program so much it is still my all time favorite pairs LP. Unfortunately, the Olympic performance has two clear technical flaws that make me feel my vote has to go to the folks who did all their technical content cleanly (at least viewed in real time). I can't vote for G&G 1994 for the same reason - Sergei really struggled thru the last minute or so. (OTOH, I'd have been hard pressed not to vote for their 88 free skate, had the poll maker included it as an option.)

I would have picked G/G 88 if it were there. So I picked T/D, K/P, Yags, Kim.

Watching skating since 1999, having missed about 20 years of a given period, I went with only two: Yagudin and Kim. Two outstanding skaters, both masters of their times. Big names, will go down in history as the best of the best.

But honestly, there hasn't been too many Olympic champions since 2000 who I would be crazy about. If we did this for short programs also, I would have placed D/W's OD very riddiculously high.

Yag. Just because his and his rival's Plush programs were away ahead. The gap between Yag/Plush stuff and the rest of skaters was much huger than the gap between other OG winners and their opponents.

I loved Arakawa's performance. It's my all time ladies favourite
If I to pick the men, it'd be kulik. Untouchable jumping wise and in his ss ability (Patrick who?)
In ice dance, for me K/P are the clear winners, even over T/D. their class was unrivalled and that program is a Masterpiece with capital M
as for the pairs, why didn't you include B/S Meditation? For me it was totally mesmerizing and breathtaking and even though G/G or M/D were exquisite too, they had better performances of their programs in other competitions

Yagudin (again, just a great LP with Pluschenko, and Goebel with all the quads)
Kim (first ladies OGM-winning program in a long time that really delivered in every respect with meticulous technique and tremendous linking moves.)
T&D -- (first time ice dance ever grabbed me and made me watch. Just mesmerizing.)

I'd go for Gordeeva Grinkov 1988. 1994 was their weakest performance in a big event, other than world's 1990.

Toller Cranston called the 1988 skate the "skate of the decade" and said as a judge, he would have held up a 6.1.
