If you're into "Christmas with an Edge" I would highly suggest any of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's recordings- I LOVE them!! So contemporary and uptempo much of the time.

Andrea Bocelli's My Christmas is quite lovely as well.

Neil Diamond The Christmas Album
The fastest thing out of New Jersey since Tricky Nicky in a Muscovian handbasket
Another favourite in this house, and another one that I haven't been able to find on CD, is Trisha Yearwood's album that has Take A Walk (Through Bethleham) and The Sweetest Gift, which is a duet w/her sister. All of it is wonderful music, but those two are my favourites on it.
Also Reba's CD that has her reading/performance of The Christmas Guest on it. This is a poem/tale of a cobbler who had been "told" in a dream the night before, which was Christmas Eve, that the Lord would be coming to be his Christmas Guest. Apparently back during the "Classic" days of the Grand Ole Opry, the show closest to Christmas would always be ended w/Grandpa Jones reading this, and I also have that on another Christmas CD that's a mix of the old time Country Greats performing Christmas music.
Said it before and will say it again...You've got to just *love* what you can find in a Bargain Bin.
For those who like me will do up Christmas Mixed CD's for Family and Friends and have the John Denver and the Muppets A Christmas Together and Reba's CD w/The Christmas Guest, here's a suggestion for you. First put Reba doing The Christmas Guest and then follow that w/John and the Muppets Alfie The Christmas Tree/It's In Everyone of Us. They *really* work/compliment each other really well and not just because both pieces have readings/poems in them, but also just the overall feel of both of them.
As I said...Just a suggestion.![]()
A Twisted Christmas (Twisted Sister)
Merry Christmas with Love (Clay Aiken)
A Robert Shaw Christmas (The Robert Shaw Chorale)
I LOVE Christmas music and have tons of it. But these three are my favorites.
FYI, Amazon has Sugarland's Christmas CD (MP3) on sale today for $3.99.
They also have one hundred Christmas CDs on sale for five bucks each, including many of those mentioned in this thread:

If your CDs & downloads aren't enough for you, I enjoy listing to music online here: http://byo.accuholidays.com/holidaysradio/
You can pick your favourite sub-genre of holiday music, or click on Build Your Own to select a combination. I'm currently listening to a Celtic & Latin mix.
And if you hit a track you don't like, just click "skip."
Thanks Missflick - I'm one-handed for a couple of weeks and unable to Open CD cases, so this is great. Any other quiet/traditional/instrumental/a capella Christmas streaming radio sites anyone would care to recommend?
Two of my favorite CD's are he Spirit of Christmas Past: A Charles Dickens Christmas

And Straight No Chaser's Holiday Spirits Christmas Album, especially Indiana Christmas and, of course, their fabulous 12 Days of Christmas.

I have loved Christmas music all my life.
I can't believe that no one has mentioned this one:
Julie Andrews - "A Christmas Treasure" (1966)
Reissued as - "Greatest Christmas Songs" (2001)

Here's a hockey team lip-synching to a Mariah Carey Christmas song![]()

And this Target commercial is stuck in my head. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not traditional, either.

FSWer posted this link at SkatingForums. Cool site that lets you search for particular tracks by particular artists. Particularly useful if you want preview a whole song before forking out the $$ to download.
Has anyone heard David Archuleta's and Charice's version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"? Holy vocal runs Batman. Isn't that something that contestants on AI are criticized for?
