Wow, ok. That knocks the field down a few pegs. Thanks! Hoping they all recover soon.

Thanks for the info
My USFS predictions.
I picked both the Hubbells and Faiella/Scali. Death in my soul.![]()
Anyone else think F&S will have two new programs at Euros?
i bet at least for a new short dance, but i would be not surprised, if they change their free dance, too, or, just pick the one from last season.
linichuck is known for putting her teams out of the competition, if it doesn´t work, this withdrawal was absolutely no surprise

Does anyone know why della Monica/Kocon have withdrawn from TEB?![]()
GPF qualifiers have officially been posted.
I think it will be good for abbot to not go to gpf so he can fix his boot problems.
He seemed to think so too when they interviewed him last week. Although I guess since he's first alternate there's a good chance that he could be called in at the last minute, which would not be good. I'll missing seeing him there, but it probably is best for him to work out his boot probems and it is going to be a good group of men. The Japanese guys will be fighting it out and I'm very happy to see Florent doing so well under pressure. He's playing with the big boys now! Plus, Chan being there will give him a chance to improve and prove himself and a chance for fans to go at it.![]()
Excited for Rachael Flatt to qualify after two years as an alternate; bummed that Kiira Korpi is the only gold medalist who doesn't get to take part! Also bummed that the Shibs don't get to go to the final, and that Takahashi/Tran are alternates (less bummed because they are going to the JGPF anyway).
2010-11 Grand Prix medal count:
Country (G, S, B) Total
USA (3, 5, 12) 20
Japan (7, 5, 2) 14
Russia (3, 5, 2) 10
Canada (2, 5, 2) 9
France (2, 1, 1) 4
China (2, 1, 1) 4
Germany (2, 0, 1) 3
Italy (1, 0, 2) 3
Czech Republic (1, 0, 1) 2
Finland (1, 0, 0) 1
Great Britain (0, 1, 0) 1
Hungary (0, 1, 0) 1
I'd say the US team picked up a few bronzes, wouldn't you? I guess our only golds were Alissa at SC and D/W's two.
I realize there have been a number of injuries and withdrawals but there are some interesting facts about the finalists vis-a-vis last years medalists:
1. 3 Japanese ladies qualified but Mao is not one of them
2. A Frenchman is in but it is not Joubert
3. 2 Canadian dance teams qualified but neither is Virtue & Moir
4. 2 Russian pairs qualified but neither one is Kavaguti & Smirnov
no they are not. Sui / Han have withdrawn from the JGPF and not the SGPF
