Both Man U and Man City each have one game to go before the season's end and it is almost a certainty that City will win the EPL.

Well I for one am delighted Man City won - but did they really have to freak out their fans like that . I knew QPR would be tougher than expected but once they were down to 10 men I really though Man City would win it comfortably!! This season should be made into a film - let's be honest even Hollywood couln't write an ending like that . Congrats to the boys in light blue you have truely

They've been doing that for so many years....Not happy with Tevez wondering around with "RIP" posters (even if they are for Ferguson!), but nice to see their fans finally get a Premiership title -44 years in the making.

But I am kind of happy that it didn't go in, while it was a foul inside the penalty area, it was really not a scene that should have decided the game.

Personally I'd rather a penalty in the game itself to decide it rather then the penalty shoot out that this is heading for!!! These are so painful to watch IMHO!!

    Well, it's penalties now.

    Guardian blog
115 min I know they are playing German opposition, but Chelsea would take penalties here. They would put their favourite granny on eBay for penalties right now. They look utterly shattered, and it's all Bayern.

Drogba is like really handsome. And I love football.

In cricket, people often talk about "sticking in the game": just hanging on and hanging on until a chance comes. That's what Chelsea have done in this amazing run: they have stuck in the game and stuck in the game and stuck in the game until there were no more games, and they were champions of Europe. It's a stunning triumph of the human spirit; and, for Roberto Di Matteo, one of the great football fairytales.

They never quit. They also had a bit of good fortune in playing Bayern Munich when they were having an off day. It made for a very exciting final.

Now that Didier's officially leaving Chelsea for Shanghai, this turned into a nostalgic picture overnight.

And David Villa has just tweeted he's too injured to play in Copa del Rey for Barca or Euros, so Spain's team will have an uphill battle to try and defend. Hmmm.

    Cool

On the USA domestic scene: it's USOC (United States Open Cup) time! The Ft Lauderdale Strikers opened their quest Tuesday night, in the rain, against tier 4 (PDL) Fresno Fiero at Lockhart Stadium in front of "crowd" of 297....

Final score? Strikers 7 - 2 Fresno. To their credit Fresno fought the good fight until the 55th minute when the Strikers scored to break a 1-1 tie. In the next few minutes they broke the game open with 3 more quick goals. Fresno scored again in the 83rd minute which seemed to make the Strikers angry. They scored 2 more goals in the next 7 minutes to ice the win.

Fresno's out & the Strikers go to California to play the MLS San Jose Earthquakes next Tuesday. Hopefully the Strikers will acquit themselves well & not come home with a reversal of the Fresno score. Maybe well get lucky and actually win the game.

Whoa, USMNT kicked some Scottish kilts yesterday, with a 5-1 victory in JAX. Landon with a hat trick and Michael Bradley with an outstanding strike from distance.

For the first time I think we are seeing the impact of Klinnsman on this team. Great play from midfield IMO. True test will be Wednesday against Brazil.

Sol Champbell has told English fans to stay home and wath the footie on tv. And while a BBC crew was filming a football match, a group of asian football fans of he local them were cornered and beaten. Euro 2012 sounds like a success already.
