I hope Bryce recovers well from his injury and best of luck to Jessica as she skates in singles this year. They will be missed at Canadians in the pairs competition.

I've never heard of this injury, but hopefully Bryce is able to make a full recovery and can skate again by next season. He is young and athletic, so that should help the rehab process. It's sad that D&D won't get to compete this year.

Holy crap this is a shock to the pairs system.
I hope Bryce can recover well and keep active in some way with the injury.
I'm now looking forward to see what Jessica can do in singles

While Jessica can land the jumps, she isn't a strong (or consistent) jumper. I could see her making the top 10, but with the looks of how Amelie Lacoste, Cynthia Phaneuf and Myriane Samson are able to skate, and if Joannie comes back, I highly doubt Jessica will make the world team.

I too remeber that she withdrew ( jessica) after the short program and I thought it was odd- why even DO both then pull at the last miinute- i mean the schedule is known months in advance?

Didn't Dube stop competing in singles after Skate Canada said they would punish skaters who only competed in the SP, since it was unfair to take a spot from someone who planned to complete the competition?

For me its look werid - she wasnt strong jumpre before and could spend this year for some privite sings.
And did Cody Hay find a new patner? I think Redford to tall fro Duhemel and she could skate with Hay and Jessica - with Eric.

Scott doesn't have the build to do pairs; he's way too short! I think I saw him doing a double (maybe triple?) jump during practice for 2010 Worlds Ex on YouTube. I'm not sure whether Jessica does dance though; aren't the skills involved very different from pairs? Originally Posted by The Accordion

Ouch! Here's hoping Bryce heals quickly and is back on the ice with Jessica ASAP.
On the other hand, we now have an explanation for the PCS for the Canadian pairs at Skate Canada.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.
