Proably because NBC has the rights to broadcast the SA freeskate in prime time. IN will only have it on demand later?

Just checked the schedule with my local NBC station. Skate America is scheduled for broadcast from 3 to 5 p.m. central time (4 to 6 p.m. eastern) Sunday, November 14th.

Which may well mean they'll only show the last group of skaters live and show replays of the men's LP in the first hour. That's what they've done for all the other events.

Thanks and I'm not surprised. I've missed the other GP events on NBC so far but I figured they showed replays of the men's LP during the first hour.
