I picked the Hubbells and Faiella/Scali and dropped 10 places overall. It's not horrible, and I'm still in the top 25 overall, but it still kinda sucks.

My rankings have been so random this year! I've had the following rankings through the GP series: 207T, 100T, 22T, 87T, and now I'm at 58 all by myself. I'm either decent in my picks or really bad, LOL I am happy that I picked at least two dance teams who ended up part of the final five at CoR this weekend!

I hadn't even looked at the leaderboard till just now because my picks have been dismal this year. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that 81, 159, 95, 139, and 89 add up to 15th place overall. Fuzzy math.

Mail in an absentee ballot.

As long as you lose all points when a team withdraws, luck plays a huge part. I'd say this contest is at least 50% luck. The most important thing, I think, is not to take things too seriously and to just have fun. Whenever I submit my picks, I usually do it in less than 2 minutes. IOW, I don't sit and think real hard about any of them. Sometimes I end up doing half-decently, sometimes I bomb. But either way, at least I know I didn't waste a lot of time on the silly contest.

I've had so many points erased off the board from skaters withdrawing mid-competition, it's as if I forgot to submit my picks one week. Joubert withdrawing at TEB killed me again.

I didn't drop too far in the overall standings even though I had a mental lapse and picked Guan, completely forgetting he was only on the TEB roster as a replacement for a day (as reported in the original, ever-so-reliable GP assignments thread in GSD).

RC: 66T
TEB: 364T

I'm in ..... 171st place. And after I started fairly well too. The best I've ever done is way back when it was in the magazine only, and you had to pick 2 skaters per discipline for the entire season, remember that? I finished about 16th then. I don't think I've ever cracked the top 100 since.

The same fuzzy math has me in 13th, even though my best finish was 34th in Skate Canada. I guess I haven't done really terribly except for CoR, but last year I was winning for about 3 weeks straight, so this season has been a bit of a lapse in performance for me
