My Thoughts exactly.. they were already world medalists by the time the first surgery happened.

But when the first surgery happened, several teams were nipping at their heels, and they could have easily ended up off the podium with even the smallest mistake. The difference is that now, besides D/W, no one really even comes close to their level. They can make a mistake and still have that little cushion to keep them on the podium.

    Hope she recovers well!

Ouch. Poor Tessa. Hope she can recover completely and never have to look back again.

She and Evan Bates can be BFF on the disabled list for now. . .

This is what I meant. I mean, as far as I can see, V/M and D/W are the top teams in the sport-period. There isn't really another team that could come too close, imo.

And yes, I, too, hope that Tessa recovers quickly so that we can see her back on the ice soon!

And Scott and Emily could potentially be training mates. After skating with their respective partners for so long, it wouldn't quite be the same but it'd certainly beat a sand bag.

Did it seem strange to anyone else when the article quotes Scott as saying that, "We have two awesome routines this year..."

I'll ask you the same question at the end of the season after we start seeing I/K grades go up! With Cop, it is easier for young talented teams to challenge for the top spots instantly.

IVF is a little drastic at her age, isn't it?

Yes, but for me, this is the first time I've heard a skater refer to there being only two parts to an ice dancing competition. Not that I'm a gigantic fan of CD's, but it's sad to think that an era has ended...

From what I've read, that's usually how it works!

So sad. Hopefully it heals nicely before Nationals or if not then Worlds since I think they'd be given an automatic entry into Worlds by Skate Canada because of their Gold Medal.

So what you are saying is that her boyfriend is a male on planet Earth who is able to sire children? That boils it down to about 3 billion people. Thanks for the hint!

Offtopic: I adore I/K but honestly, IMO they're not in the same league as V/M or D/W yet. Kinda like how those 2 teams couldn't compare with the likes of DenStavs, D/L and D/S x2 back in 06-07. Don't forget, the seniors also have an advantage in the GW as it was competed last season.

That said, I forsee a very bright future for I/K and am excited to see what Zhulin can do.

I'm bummed about V/M. Hopefully Tessa will recover quickly and well!
