They just announced on our news that Courtney Cox and David Arquette have separated after 11 yrs. of marriage. A trial separation officially. Kind of sad- 11yrs. seems like a lifetime in Hollywood years

A couple of months ago she was seen out looking cozy with the guy who plays her ex husband on Cougar Town; the rumours started around then, but were debunked, and now this... I always thought they were one of the ones that would last. But then, I also thought that Charlie Sheen and Denise Richard weirdly worked and would last, so what do I know?

Their marriage has always been very rocky. They struggled to have kids and David admitted to too much dabbling in illegal substances. Things allegedly came to a head when he threw a 21st b'day party for Hayden Panettierre...I guess some women have problems when their man does stuff like that
. You know, throwing birthday parties for other women young enough to be HER daughter...
But then, there are other reports that they have had an open marriage for quite some time, and Cox may or may not be hooked up with one of her TV show co-stars. The hunky one. I've never seen the show, so I don't know who it could be.Last edited by Rex; 10-12-2010 at 12:48 PM.

I expected it to last 2 to 3 years tops. Then 5,6,7 went by, I was surprised and figured it was just for convenience.
*shrug* always sad though when a kid is involved.

It seems that the more successful celeb marriages work when the couple doesn't live in Hollywood. It increases the chance of the marriage lasting a bit. So many temptations in Hollywood - sex, drugs and all of that.
