Just out of curiosity ... any idea how many people the arena would hold?

    I don't think it was a quad attempt, I think it was 3L- 3T.

It is so curious how differently people see things! I would never call the arena half- empty. The sides were blocked off, but the center seats seemed full. Anyway, it seemed much more full than SOI I attended in St. Louis this spring ( of course I don't know relative seating capacities). Add to that that Youngstown is at least an hour away from Cleveland, hour from Akron and more like 1,5 from Pittsburgh and that it was perhaps the last really warm beautiful day this season, and the attendance did not seem doom and gloom to me.

I was there, too, and thorougly enjoyed it. As a skating fan, I've always wanted to see how they tape one of these shows for TV.

I thought there would be more plugging for heart-related causes, but there wasn't much. I also wanted a souvenir, but there was nothing to purchase.

Those comments aside, I am so glad a major show like this came to our relatively-small market area. Please come again!

Most of those "plugs" are done ahead of time, video shorts with the performers and then edited into the television production.

Yes, in the production schedule there is time set aside for all the personal asides, plugs, little moments off the ice, etc. that are edited into the final product.

For the Disson Shows they are usually done one-by-one the day before the dress rehearsal/show but are scripted long before then in pre-production. Each cast member spends typically about 15-30 minutes on these bits for each show - sometimes all of them are used, sometimes not.

I messed up, somebody posted Abbott's jump re-do, he does 3F- 3T, like last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVJog_QEtxc ( in his new costume)
The same youtube account has more videos, including Joannie

Thanks for the reports dinakt!! You are so lucky to have gone to this show.

The beginning of Jeremy's SP already looks better than at it did at ATS. The costume certainly helped and I think he's keeping his posture more rigid for the flamenco. I love it! Can't wait to see this program at NHK. It's so going to make me go absolutely

Thanks! I figured there were details from when it happened live, but couldn't find a search button. You can delete my original post about getting details about it.
