    Jumping Cursor

I recently got a new laptop. The problem is as I am typing it just randomly moves to another point on the page in the middle of where I have already typed and then continues.

Has anyone had this problem and then found a fix for it?
When you are up to your arse in alligators it is difficult to remember you were only meant to be draining the swamp.

Yes... I have found that the touch pads on laptops are too sensitive and that when I'm typing, I'd accidentally hit it or even just he movement of the laptop would activate it.

I changed the settings of my touchpad so that it took a much harder "tap" to activate a click and that helped a lot. The only thing that stopped it completely for me was to turn off "tap to click".

My HP gets spastic cursor every so often. I just disable the touchpad and use the mouse.

Ah so that is what it is called - spastic cursor. Like it.

    Thanks for the advice.
