Help me prove my mother is wrong

Driving with my mom today, we passed this car that's an usual color. My mom says, "That's like...umm...uhh...Peggy Fleming color."

I knew the word/color she meant, and she was shocked. I told her that most of the skating ubers (i.e., FSUers) would know what word/color she was trying to think of. She didn't think so.

Which of us is correct?

If the car was chartreuse, then your mom is wrong, and a lot of FSUers (particularly the older ones) would indeed recognize it as Peggy Fleming's colour.

If it was some other colour, then you are wrong

You can also tell your mom how we know it because we've heard the story about how Peggy's mom picked the color to subconsciously appeal to the local fans by picking a color similar to the color of the liqueur made by the nearby monks. And my mom doesn't post on FSU, but as a skating fan, she'd definitely know the color of Peggy's dress.

I also was born well after Peggy wore that costume and know exactly the color your mom means

Kiira Korpi wore a similar color long-sleeve dress for her SP last season.

Chartreuse it was, yes named after the liqueur. And that picture was to die for, look at her hair, I had forgotten it was so bouffant!
