    Asking all photo geeks....

I'm currently applying for an MA in documentary photography, and the interview is comning up. I need to present the work of a photographer that inspires me, and I want to speak about Teuku Jody Zulkarnaen.

The problem is that although is work features in many onine galleries, I can't find any info about him!

I have emailed him directly, but I'm not sure I'll get a response.

Has anyone come accross his pictures in magazines or books?

You can use the "Ask A Librarian" service at any public library's website. Perhaps there is a library out there that might specialize in the field that you mention and will have HEEPS of info for you. Good luck!
It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

Wow, beautiful photos! It looks almost surreal to me, maybe it's the colors and the "haze"...

I would say that there were definite post-production works performed on those pictures to make them look like that. Many of them look like HDR image: multiple exposures of the same picture merged together by software like CS to achieve a surrealistic look.

Aren't the photos photoshopped? I like the effect but I feel they are a different genre than a non enhanced photo. Am I mistaken?

    Thanks for the suggestions

Yes, definitely a lot of post-production... but that's not a bad thing. It's well done IMO.
I'm not sure how many are HDR, I think it's more a case of filters and adjusting the colours and lighting etc... It's really cool what photoshop can do for lighting, even without resorting to multiple exposures.

    Wow, those are great photos!

Have you tried posting your question in the photo.net forums?

The pics are lovely, he’s got an excellent eye for composition, but I’d like to see a little less post-production. But then, I’m not a fan of HDR.
