"Ice and Fire" -"Ice Age" saga continues

"Ice Age" saga continues with new name "Ice and Fire" on Russian Chanel 1 ,September 19 @ 1800.
Rules are similar: skater-star teams will be prepared by A.Zhulin and I.Averbukh and compete against each other.After the first two shows two couples will be leaving the project until the final when the two best teams will compete for the title .
The skaters are:T.Navka,I.Lobacheva,T.Totmyanina,A.Semenovich, R.Kostomarov,P.Tchernishev, also A.Sikharulidze,S.Novitski, M.Shabalin and etc.

The number of the skater-celebrity teams are 18 .They will compete on the ice -showing their skating progress and off the ice/on the floor/- presenting their dancing abilities and unique choreography.Each will "represent" different country.Vanagas and his partner for example will represent Lithuania,Drobiazko and partner Ukraine and etc.

I have a question about the Russian skating shows... the first season, there were two separate shows. One of them was called Dancing on Ice and featured pros such as Grishuk, Platov, and Goncharov. Bestemeniova & Bukin were the organizers. I believe it continued another season or two.

The other one was Ice Age, organized by Averbukh and with pros such as Navka, Kostomarov, Petrova, and Tikhonov. This show appears to be pretty successful, but was the other one cancelled or did it merge into this show?

I am confused too but it looks like it's going to be a little bit different .The teams are going to compete in two days -first on the ice and the second day- dancing on the floor .The main judge for the first/skating/day is the usual TAT , for the dancing/choreography day the judges are going to be balletmasters .The results from the two days are going to be combined and the two teams with lower scores will leave the project unless on of them is saved by voting/by phone or audience/.

Thanks. In that case it is quite different. In Ice Age the skater was always the stronger partner. However, on the floor, the "star" may be the stronger partner for some couples.
