    Thanks for the update, Sylvia.

For reference, here's the old champs camp thread from way back in June.

While the event is closed to the public, icenetwork.com will provide coverage of Champs Camp, including photos, videos and blogs, throughout the event.
    Better than nothing!

Nevermind. I see that this year they invited everyone who got a GP event, even if the skater didn't compete at Nationals.

Thanks for starting this thread. Something refreshing to read and look forward to. I need a break from the drama going on in the YuNA/Brian
    thread.

I know, I know, I could just ignore it but then I would be out of the loop with the latest speculation theories and rumors.

Are you referring to Musademba? Yes, she does; she competes at Cup of China.

I was expecting Czisny to pull out, but this probably means she will continue

I wasn't expecting Kristine to get a GP, but I am happy she did. She was recognized for all of the results she made on the JGP even though she was out most of last year.

We should start to get some pictures and possibly videos sometime today or tomorrow.

Some additional context from the person who took those first photos: http://twitter.com/lynnrutherford
Biggest news at USFS Champs Camp: USOC Olympic warehouse sale. Everyone stocking up on jackets, shirts etc. from last 10 or so Olympics.

OpenCeremony jackets can be had for $40, Roots leather for $15, and on it goes. AEvora, MLadwig, M and A Shibutani most enthusiastic so far

I don't think we should hold our collective breath for videos of actual competition programs...

According to Adam's Twitter, he left for Champ's Camp early this morning.

Hey, all it takes is one wise-a&& with a high end cell-phone and internet access.

Too bad that at least some of the TBD assignments haven't been determined so that if there are any skaters not already on the GP circuit they could be part of the camp. I would think the less experienced skaters could benefit from it.

I can't remember any previous Champs' Camp in which skaters' programmes were actually filmed; at least, none that we got to see anyway. Will this year be different?

I think this year skaters will be able to perform their program to get some feedback, but I don't know if it will be filmed or something, maybe just if the skater/coach permit

Hard to determine who smiles more - Amanda or John Coughlin. Probably why I like them both so much, they always look like they love what they're doing and having the best time.

    More tweets from LynnRutherford:
Mirai Nagasu won't skate at Champs Camp, due to stress fracture in foot, but will be back on ice Sept. 1. "Just stroking at first," she says

Mirai loves her programs; "They're brilliant, if I may so so myself, I just have to train them" & has relaxed at the beach this summer.
