Mr. allezfred was just joking about applying next year and we were trying to think what kind of a sob story he could think up. All we could come up with that since our dishwasher broke he now has to wash the dishes by hand.

I loved Matt's comment when they said he'd be singing that song on the album. He said "Hopefully I'll be singing it a bit better than that!".
He did some amazing songs though, not this week, but earlier. For example, Knights in White Satin
and The First Time (ever I saw your face)
I'll be buying Rebecca's album though. I'm sure she'll produce one and I'm sure it'll be great

I'm glad she didn't win because I remembered that the winner is going to rush-release an album. :/
I am sure she's gonna get signed. Even if not by Simon, a lot of artists and producers expressed an interest in her.
She's definitely not the kind of singer who could churn out catchy hit singles. I can imagine her doing a Corinne Bailey-Rae/Norah Jones/Adele/Duffy/Amy Winehouse type album. Hopefully some label is going to decide to invest in her and give her time to develop something special.

Because Joe McElderry's debut totally bombed, Simon decided that he's not going to give the winner a year to develop an album anymore, like he did with Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and McElderry.
Why? Because by the time McElderry's album was released, "nobody remembered who he was."
Uhmm... I hate to break it to you Simon, but Joe's album bombed because it's a crap album and he has a personality of a cardboard box.
Still, Matt is going to have an album rush-released. Which means that most likely it's going to be either covers or already written songs available for sale. And he won't get enough time to really perfect neither the vocals or the music. So most likely it'll be crap.

One Direction are getting signed by Simon. A while ago, he already ordered for some songs to be written for them. He wants to make them a little more edgy, apparently. Like what, shaved heads, manga haircuts and tattoos?

Cher is also definitely going to get signed. Will.i.am and Jay-Z both want her and are willing to produce and release her, if Simon doesn't.

Whether Mary is going to become a successful recording artist (I highly doubt it) or not, she's going to be sorted. There apparently is a huge interest in her doing ads and endorsements. M&S has been named but there are supposed to be loads of others (I guess Tesco).
And I would imagine she can make a decent income touring. Maybe West End performances too.
And motivational speaking bullshit too I bet.
