Hardly, there are easily more than 10 guys who have achieved more than Candelero overall in the last 20 years. The guy has never won a World title, he hasnt even won a European title.

Petrenko, Browning, Urmanov, Kulik, Stojko, Eldredge, Yagudin, Plushenko, Lambiel, Buttle, Lysacek, Joubert, Takahashi, have all clearly achieved more even with his 2 Olympic bronzes.

IMHO these are the TOP 5
    1. Kurt Browning (without whom the quad wouldn't have become so big)
    2. Elvis Stojko (who made the quad so consistent and used in combination and someone who was incredibly consistent in competition)
    3. Alexei Yagudin (who made the quad look easy but also had incredible artistry)
    4. Evgeny Plushenko (Solid technician/ and so consistent for a long time)
    5. Jeffrey Buttle (Who brought creative choreography/transitions etc to a program)

6-10 (more preference than what they brought to the sport)
    6. Brian Joubert (porn factor- pure and simple)
    7. Stephane Lambiel (spins and choreo)
    8. Philippe Candeloro (Choreography)
    9. Emanuel Sandhu (makes me wish for what could have been with him)
    10. Evan Lysacek (just cuz I like him!)

Well, what else could be the reason to name him?
Apart from that, I don't find him even very likeable.

    Anyway, my personal Top Ten,

    - Alexei Yagudin
    - Kurt Browning
    - Stephane Lambiel
    - Evgeni Plushenko
    - Ilia Kulik
    - Viktor Petrenko
    - Johnny Weir
    - Brian Joubert
    - Philippe Candeloro
    - Alexei Urmanov

As much as I enjoyed Ilia Kulik's OGM skate, I wouldn't list him in my top 10. Same with Urmanov (and I'm a big fan!). I'd actually include Eldredge over both of them.

According to my formula which inherently favour skaters that have been active since 1996 due to more available competitions, top 10 Men's Skaters from 1990 are:
    1. Evgeni Plushenko
    2. Alexei Yagudin
    3. Elvis Stojko
    4. Viktor Petrenko
    5. Evan Lysacek
    6. Brian Joubert
    7. Alexei Urmanov
    8. Todd Eldridge
    9. Stephane Lambiel
    10. Kurt Browning

My personal, subjective opinion on who I think are the most talented 10 Men's Skaters since 1990 (but not my 10 FAVOURITES from the era) are:
    1. Alexei Yagudin
    2. Evegeni Plushenko
    3. Kurt Browning
    4. Ilia Kulik
    5. Elvis Stojko
    6. Stephane Lambiel
    7. Evan Lysacek
    8. Alexei Urmanov
    9. Viktor Petrenko
    10. Brian Joubert

This list only took into consideration athletes that have won Olympics, Worlds OR GPF, as I think having what it takes to win major competitions is part of job descriptions for great champions.

    IMO,
    Yagudin, Browning, Kulik,
    Plushenko, Lambiel, Joubert,
    Petrenko, Urmanov, Candeloro,
Stojko (cannot stand the guy/his skating, but he was successful and influential at his times)

That's because Alexei is an infinitely better skater than Evan in every facet of figure skating. For shallow purposes, Urmanov has Lysacek beat in the looks department too IMO.

I think 5 most influential are
    Yagudin
    Browning
    Plushenko
    Lambiel
    Stojko
... then Petrenko, Kulik, Joubert, Candeloro, Urmanov, Elderidge, Lysacek...

I would really like to put Takahashi there, and don't only because he is still going strong.
