He always has these crazy photos lol. Not sure why he wants porn stars and strippers in his show but it's his choice I guess.

ZOMG!!! Johnny "had several meetings with Cher’s director and choreographer, Doriana Sanchez, to discuss what he refers to as 'the Spectacular.'"

“I think if I had been more p.c., had I played by the rules a bit more, I’d be the Olympic champion this year,” he says.

...“I felt going into the Olympics that I had very little support from my own country, from the U.S. Figure Skating federation,” he says one summer afternoon. “I went out there and I did everything I could possibly do, and I knew going into it that a medal wasn’t in my sights. It was political. In figure skating, there’s this thing, there’s a way that you can say, ‘Okay, if you help this skater, our skater, and promote him and push him to the top of the podium and help him get there, we will help yours.’ There’s a lot of that that goes on, and America likes to try and stay away from that issue, but everyone does it. I skated great, Evan skated great, we probably both should have been on the podium somewhere, but you know, the team official came to me and said, ‘We didn’t know you were going to skate like that.’ ”

...It’s very hard,” he says, “but you know, someone literally came to my coach while I was crying behind a curtain and said, ‘We wish we had known Johnny was going to skate that well, because we were pushing the two other Americans.’ And that takes balls to say that.”
    Hmm...

    He started smoking menthol cigarettes.

What an idiot. Then again, that statement could've applied to anything that came out of Weir's mouth for this article (or at all recently).

And, sorry, but Modlin is just creepy, more like a hanger-on than an agent. She should pay a bit more attention to her own image.

Well I'm sure they won't actually be doing porn and stripping in the show. It would just be a way to get more publicity and attract more different type of crowd to the show... if the show happens.

Maybe Johny should try to get a gig on the E! channel. He can do fashion commentary, etc.

The prices for those clothes that Johny wear for the photo shoot in this article are outrageous. $875 for a D&G silk lace top? Who buys stuff like that.

The show sounds like it is designed to attract the 12=17 year old crowd. People who have worked through the issues of adolescence will find the thing a huge yawn.

I'm so jealous he has that many louis vuittons. I'm eyeing the mirror one he had on one of his shows. If Johnny can have a dozen I want at least one in my lifetime lol

    Seriously Wyliefan.

I wonder if he'll ever be able to look at his marks and realize that his program just wasn't difficult enough. For him it's always he was just robbed.
In my spare time, I like to interview figure skating legends.

It's not that I think he comes right out and tells deliberate lies. I think he stews and frets over these things until he actually persuades himself that they really wanted to give him the gold and it was just political that they didn't. He wouldn't be the first person to think that way.

Just my impression -- I could be totally wrong.

It also may be that he sees things in extremes ... so he translates the fact that a lot of people think he was robbed (because he should have been higher than sixth) into he would have gotten a medal if it wasn't political. IMO, there is very little justification for giving him a medal ... and none whatsoever for giving him gold.

Johnny has had some bad relationship experience including a really bad breakup with his first bf who he had said was the love of his life. It seems to have made him very fearful of committment and sure that he'll never find a connection with another person again. He's always talking about how happy he is on his own and being independent but I have to wonder if he hasn't built up some pretty strong defense mechanisms.

His mother gave an interview before the Torino Olympics talking about how he was made fun of relentlessly as a child and at his rink when he learned to skate.

When he started skating he was immediately corrected by coaches and directors who took issue with his style and his body. They said he was far too feminine and criticized his arms, his posturing, his hands, etc. for being very girly.

He's been reprimanded by the USFSA since basically the beginning for everything from his appearance to his opinions. There was a period of time a few years ago when he was receiving literally buckets of hate mail a day including death threats against him and people horribly bashing his parents/family.

He never once said he deserves the gold for goodness sakes. His "I'd be Olympic Champion this year" doesn't mean an argument he should have been on top of the podium (he's never uttered anything close to that) but rather if he'd done things by the book all along and the right way he could have been the champ.

I've heard him say many times in many interviews that Evan deserved the gold and he's proud (before the crap started again between them in April). He also said Plushenko was wonderful so I have hard time believing Johnny believes he should have been the gold medalist.
