The curse of Irish TV strikes again. They don't broadcast Worlds last year and Ireland win a medal in the 20km walk. This year they show Euros and 20 minutes into the race and Olive Loughnane pulls out. And now the commentators have to sound enthusiastic with zero Irish interest.

Russians go 1,2,3 in the women's 20 Km race walking. Olga Kanishkina adding european title to her 2 world gold medals and olympic title and she is just 25 years old. If she competes till the age Olympiada ivanova competed she could win couple more titles. other two russians are also young, this is further supplemented by a long list of very good juniors.
