Kings of Leon stopped a show after three songs because they were getting repeatedly shat upon (that's a technical turn) by pigeons in the rafters of the venue.

I think it was probably unpleasant, but there are conflicting reports on how bad (or not) it was, and there's the idea that "the show must go on". To think that Cyndi Lauper is more hardcore than KOL is pretty funny.Give me one more quiet night, before this loud morning gets it right, and does me in.

not to mention that the 2 opening bands did their whole sets. I hope they got paid for performing.

The only thing that could make for a better story is if it had been Flock of Seagulls performing instead of Kings of Leon.

Actually, the report on Huffington Post yesterday said that on of the pigeons sh@t n the bassist' mouth, which is what actually stopped the performance. ick!!!
If that happened to me I would be lying on the floor screaming and kicking in hysteria...but I think I would get over it in about 10 minutes...They should have taken a break and then maybe come back out.

Wasn't there a pigeon that famously interrupted one of the Grand Prix events a few years back? I remember reading a hysterical account of that on FSU.

I saw an outdoor production of Guys and Dolls where pigeons divebombed the performers during Sky and Sarah's big romantic scene. But I think this story trumps that one!
The actors were able to keep going (though hard put to it to keep from laughing), but it might have been a totally different story if the pigeons had started pooping.
