I just had the same problem with mine, and had to get my dad to extract it. I'm not sure how he did it, but I'll ask him and let you know what he says. (I don't know if it makes a difference, but I had my CD in a separate drive that I got not long ago.)

seriously, tweezers should work. I've put, uh, several CDs into my Mac upside-down and have used tweezers to get the CD out each time

My dad said he had to turn the drive off and on before it would eject. In your case I guess that would mean a restart for the whole computer.

If your desktop has an icon/image of the CD, drag the image to your trashcan. This should eject the CD.

Hmmm, OK.
If it's a tray, and not even the button works, try inserting a paper clip or a bobby pin on the tiny hole thats around the tray. That should open it.
If it doesn't have the mechanical eject little hole (insert pun here), I wouldn't know how to get it out...

Actually, I discovered a way. It didn't go in properly, therefor it wouldn't come out properly.
I learned that by typing in a command into my terminal (in the applications in the Finder), I could eject it. You just need to type "drutil tray eject" command in the terminal, and all is well.

My Mac doesn't have a tray, just a slot. I suppose a tweezer would do it (for one like mine), but one would have to be careful. I would call Apple Care and ask them.

I have a slot as well. Although a CD or two has been stubborn in popping out, I never had to resort to tweezers . . . thank heavens.

Mine is a slot too, but using tweezers to get CDs out of it actually pretty easy...after a few tries.
