    Billy, Anya-Louis Van Amstel

Jive- Billy trying to learn to manly.

Paradise by the Dashboard Light- Meatloaf.

The first part was really good. I like him dancing with the heels. He looked better with Anya than I expected.

Mia likes how he is so regal and pulled up. She says the connection was so there for them.

Billy completely lost when Cat asks him is he is made nervous by the "Sex Bomb" thing.

Adam liked how sharp and strong he looked.

I really like Louis Van Amstel (is that how it's spelled?), he may have been my favourite part of DWTS this year.

ETA: It occurs to me that I should probably say that I liked the routine. Though I did not enjoy the music cuts, they were akward.

Even though I fell for the emotional manipulation, and I totally wasn't expecting to, I agree with you all about the unfairness to the other dancers. When Melissa danced the cancer routine, I'm sure she was going home otherwise that week, so Jeanette wrongly ended up going home instead.

My mom just texted me about the Billy/Cat exchange: "Sex bomb? Reminds me of that skater..." LOL I guess she remembers COI from years ago!

    Kent-Ok- Neil-good Tyce-um Broadway + Baseball-I just don't know? Awful

    Shoeless Joe from Damn Yankees

    Yep it's awful.

Nigel loves it. They've turned up the audience feed for this one.
Mia says it was great. Strong male dancing (obligatory Kent-not-gay)
Adam (in a cute pink gingham shirt btw) says it is the other side of Fosse. Kent has a huge future in Broadway.

    It was still awful.

I *think* Kent danced this well, but I just cannot get over the cheeseball nature of this routine. Even for Broadway, this is too much. Though good job (I think) to Kent and Neil for going all the way with it.

ETA: Critisism for an All-Star? Mia likes boys?

Thank God I missed it. I hate those pieces on principle, and can't judge them fairly. And then I get all mad.

I thought Neil clearly outdanced Kent, but I'm no expert.

    And yes, totally cheesy.

No, I agree with you. My eyes were on Neil the whole time, it was obvious to me who was the all-star dancer.

There's cheese, cheesy, and cheese product. That was cheese product. ITA--Neil outdanced Kent around the world and to the moon. My conspiracy minded self wonders if that's why they said it the other way around.

Lauren is adorable. Since Alex can't win, I think I'm going to pull for her. She's the most versatile dancer left (though I do think Ashley, Billy, and Robert are all better at contemporary than she is ) and for an 18 year old blondie pup, she's suprisingly not annoying.

Though with full disclosure, the real reason I'm pulling for her is I own those shoes. And wore them earlier today.

Lauren and Billy -Mandy Moore jazz number about shoes

Boogie Shoes -KC and the Sunshine band

And the camera man keeps showing them from the knees up.

What a charming lighthearted piece. Some of the step sequences were really well done. This was a nice pairing.

Nigel says Billy and Jazz are a good fit, and Lauren is not going anywhere.
Mia is giggling. completely in the pocket. Groovy. I agree completely with Mia.
Adam calls it happy-making. Says Billy got lost in the dance.

    Yay!

I dont own those shoes but ITA, she's my plan b
I feel like I'm in a dream. But it can't be a dream because there are no boy dancers!

I don't know a lot about breaking, but...that's the best they could come up with?

Um. I thought Jose would be able to hold his own in his own style, but he basically just got owned.

Jose having to do breaking with Dom was possibly the worst draw Jose could have gotten. If they say that Jose outdanced Dom in this, I will know that they went on a late-night binge with Paula's medicine cabinet.

I didn't care for that breaking much at all...it looked awkward in spot and didn't flow all the way through. As Mia said, the beginning was great.
