Looks like we have to wait until August 8.
And why oh why don't they televise it nationwide?
Like they televised DOI and Hyundai Super Match nationwide.

I hope they won't chuck the jump contest!
Evgeni is funny saying, " I can skate a little ." in Japanese. His Japanese is fine.

This is an article in the news program “Chukkyo figure” in the homepage of Chukyo TV in Aichi prefecture, Japan.
    Translation into English.
The highlight of “The Ice” which was broadcasted in July 28th.
    July 28th, 2010 JST

    By Emi Honda, newscaster
    00:00
Next is the corner of "Chukkyo Figure" which is for cheering the figure skater.
    00:04
"The Ice", the festival on the ice in high summer in 2010, which was held in the end of last week, really livened up very much with the splendid skating of the players. We send for you the highlight with condensing the show.
    00:23
    “Chukkyo Figure”
    00:24
“The festival `The Ice` on the ice in high summer in 2010”
Likening the rink to a street corner of Paris, it starts with the opening like a musical.
    00:35
Above all, the largest surprise is a scene of sudden appearance of Mao Asada.
Then the venue was wrapped up with a flowery mood at a stroke.
    00:51
Mao: "Everybody! Welcome to 'The Ice'!" Please enjoy ‘The Ice’ this year, too! Now, let’s start!!”
    01:06
    Kanako Murakami (15)
    2010 Junior Worlds Champion.
In the first half, the stars of next generation who lead the future figure skating world appear, show a fresh and lively performance and liven up the venue.
    01:14
    Elene Gedevanishvili (20)
    2010 Euros bronze medalist.
    01:21
    Adam Rippon (20)
    2010 Four Continents Champion.
It is one of the pleasant in “The Ice”, too, that we can see the young players who have a fertile individuality.
    01:30
Mai and Mao Asada sisters: “White is the color of a sweetheart”.
Then, the end number of the first half is the pair program of Asada sisters.
They gave us satisfaction of the refreshing time as if a fresh wind blows through the rink.
    01:49
In the customary talk show, Pluschenko said like this.
    01:53
Pluschenko: "Watashiha suketoga chotto dekiru" or "I can skate a little"(as the direct translation) or "I am pretty good at skating"(as the indirect translation).
As for this, Mao, too, burst into laughter. He is full of fun and mischief.
    02:06
    Akiko Suzuki
    Vancouver Olympics the 8th place.
In the second half, the participant players in Vancouver Olympics appeared one after another.
    02:11
    Takahiko Kozuka
    Vancouver Olympics the 8th place.
They attract the audience with the skating of highest level in world and with skating of the best part.
    02:12
    Joannie Rochette
    Vancouver Olympics bronze medalist.
    02:22
    Xue Shen & Hongbo Zhao
    Vancouver Olympics Champion.
    02:26
    Evgeny Pluschenko
    Vancouver Olympics silver medalist.
Then, it was Pluschenko who showed the skating being powerful.

What should he show, but the four consecutive jumps!
    02:44
    Mao Asada
What performed the last number of this day's program is this person, namely Mao Asada, of course.

On the rink, she dances to the music by Chopin elegantly and splendidly.
    03:00
"The Ice" was the ice show which attractiveness of the figure skating was packed plentifully.
    03:09
Main newscaster: As for this time, it was the show which is worth seeing because the participants are gorgeous, wasn't it?
    Hond: Yes, it was.
    03:13
Honda: Then, in the finale of the show, the venue really came alive being united with the skaters under the theme of the summer festival while the skaters wear “a yukata” or “a traditional Japanese summer casual wear” and "a happi" or "a traditional Japanese work-person's coat".
    03:21
Honda: Moreover, in "The Ice", there was the co-starring of jumps by Mao Asada and Pluschenko. As for that situation, we plan to broadcast in the special program from 13:30 in August 7th JST.
Please expect it because we plan to broadcast a lot of highlight of "The Ice" there.

It was the corner of “Chukkyo Figure”.

I loved the opening! So much fun. I wish I had seen it live.
I attended this year's Super Match and was fascinated by the elegant opening. I was sooo beautiful. I'm a big fan of gala show openings.

I'm afraid the link for the finale isn't working.

Here's the working one. Again, loved it.

    I couldn't find Mao and Plushenko's performances.
