Wow, Mirai. I hope she's okay. And yay for Joannie.
The cast is excellent. I can't wait to see the performances.

I'm looking forward to seeing more polished version of Mao's Chopin program.
Mao's been doing so many ice shows since the world championships as usual.
No wonder Mao and her team produce high quality gala programs year after year. Obviously Mao needs them.
If the exhibition had been dull and mediocre, it'd have been no fun for Mao to perform it that many times throughout the year.

yes, yes, yes. For me, just one more program that shows Tat/Mao is a great combo.

    Really?
Summer in Nagoya is scorching hot. People in Aichi may need two ice shows at a time!

According to the Kerrs' facebooks, they were waiting like 5 hours or more at the Chicago airport for their delayed flight to Tokyo to get to this show... I hope they enjoy it anyway, and the audience enjoys their performances

I think Elene is a lovely skater, she won her first European medal this season and her skating is much more classy and entertaining than Laura's. If I could choose between those three you named, Elene is probably the girl I'd see with the biggest pleasure.

Don't worry. The Kerrs have a huge fan base in Japan. I'm sure they will meet an enthusiastic welcome and cheering. Elene has her fan base here, too. A lot of people are waiting for this lovely skater.

Is "White color is lover's'' that old folk song?
Was the pair program choreographed by Kenji Miyamoto too as usual?

Last year Mao & Mai's program (as well as all the group numbers for The Ice) were choreographed by Miki Sakagami. She will also choreograph the show this year.
Miki is a choreographer for Disney on Ice. She also choreographed Mai's Red Violin EX and Nobunari's gala program for the upcoming season.

It's good to see more and more Japanese skaters are starting to have their programs choreographed by Japanese choreographers. They, especially top skaters, used to rely particularly much on foreign choreographers before. There are a lot of great choreographers out there abroad, but it's also good that we have some choreographers growing in Japan.

It is the hit single which the American woman duo, Betsy & Chris, from Hawaii released in Japan in 1969.
The folk song which Kazuhiko Kato of the member of The Folk Crusaders composed by the member Osamu Kitayama's doing lyrics writing begins with the intro of the acoustic guitar.

Translation of the lyrics into English.

White is the color of the sweetheart.

White of the petal is the color of the sweetheart.
The nostalgic white lily is the color of the sweetheart.
Of my darling in the home town... The white of the petal of the white lily which blooms under the foot of my darling is the color of the sweetheart.
Clear color of the blue sky is the color of first love.
It is the color of first love which is beautiful without limit.
With my darling in the home town... The clear color of the blue sky in the days when I had seen side by side with my darling is the color of first love.
Red of the afterglow is the color of the remembrances.
It is the color of the remembrances which was shaking with tears.
Of my darling in the home town... The red of the afterglow which was reflected in the wet eye of my darling is the color of the remembrances, the color of the remembrances.

This is an article in "Yomiuri Shimbun" in Japan.
    Translation into English.
Mao Asada said, "A problem to be solved is too much to treat", but her dance was very soft.
    July 24th, 2010 JST

The ice show, "The Ice" was held in the ice rink in 2005 World Exposition Memorial Park in Nagakute town, Aichi prefecture in July 24th and Mao Asada (19, Chukyo University) etc who won the championship in the Worlds of March participated.
Mao Asada who had a press interview after the performance talked the aim of this season, saying, "I would like to be able to complete with best condition in the Worlds in next year."

The performance which she showed in this day was the piano music by Chopin which she chose for the exhibition program in this season.
Wearing the white costume saying, "It made the back opening wider than one in the ice show in June", she attracted the audience with the soft skating.

From this season, she is coached by Hiroshi Nagakubo who grew Turin Olympics gold medalist Shizuka Arakawa etc, as the designated coach of jumps.

While saying, "I am with impatience now because I must arrange using my head as for many problems because a problem to be solved is too much" with bitter smile, she said, "I intend to do sufficiently what I can do."

    The photo:
    Photography: by Haruka Takahashi
Mao Asada and Mai Asada showed the skating which made a perfect pair as sisters.

    Opening

I watched a performance of The Ice the first day.
The opening was served with a musical.
Kanako and Adam were the clothes of the selling flowers
and they pushed the car which they put a flower on and appeared.
    They presented flowers to audience.
    Afterwards, other skaters appeared.
Kanako and Adam presented flowers to skaters, too.
Kanako and Adam covered a car with white cloth.
Skaters skated lady's and gentleman couples.
Only, Evgeni skated with Joannie and mai.
    Only, Jeffrey alone.
At that time, Kanako brought the bouquet of the rose and handed it to Jeffrey.
Jeffrey received a rose, and skated joyfully
and turned up the white cloth of the car.
And then, Mao appeared from white cloth.
    Mao and Jeffrey skated couples.
