Eliza Tuktamysheva and her triple axel

Looks like another skater to watch for Sochi.

Here is Eliza Tukatmysheva doing a triple axel in practice.

Just to give credit where credit is due this link was originally posted by parasolka on July 2nd: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/show...&postcount=331
Also, Elizaveta's last name is spelled (transliterated) 'Tuktamysheva' (although I've also seen Tuktamisheva).

Like I said in the Russian ladies thread (where this is already being discussed)...It's not the best angle, but it looks good to me. There is a nice flow out of the jump and she gets good height and distance. The choreography before and after suggests she'll be trying it in her programs.

It looked nice and easy. Of course it's hard to predict if she'll still have the jump when her body matures.

Judging the the clip, I can already see Uncle Dick complaining about the superflous arms movements .

That looks better than Mao Asada's. Yeah her choreo and arm and shoulder movement is very reminiscent of Slutskaya.

Oh mah good-ness. She flowed in and out of it, and the trajectory looked great (even if not super high). Color me impressed.

Definately agree about it being better than Asada's. Very nice jump. One of the nicest 3axels I have seen from a female skater for a while.

Wasn't there a video of a Russian jumping bean doing a triple axel OFF ICE (albeit cheated, but it had like 2.75 revolutions)? I saw it posted up on FSU before, but I can't find it anymore...

Does anyone know where it is?

Looks quite good, from our angle, however I do suspect it's a tiny bit underrotated (although with the new rule for underrotation and downgrades, it shouldn't hurt much).

I still prefer Midori's triple axel!

This kid is good, I hope her teammates step it up so they can give Liza a run for her money this season! I'm really hoping Adelina doesn't fall as much, Shelepen and Agafonova continue to always go for the 3-3s, and that Anna has some more fabulous voidy programs this season!

    Her triple-Axel is a textbook!!

That looks better than Mao Asada's 3A.

Hoping she loses the Slutskaya arms, but I love how she does the 3A with such ease as if it was any other triple jump.

As much as Dick drives me to drink, I'd have to agree.

Great 3A! Hope she will not 'outgrow' it as she matures.

The arm movements I could do with less.........

Geez.. What is with all these 3A comparisons? Since 3As for women are pretty rare to come by, can't we just admire each one for their own merits?
