Awww! Wish her all the best and a hopefully happy marriage!
She is only 39 but she looks 55![]()
"The name on the door is Crane, Poole & Schmidt. And I'm Schmidt. ©
any bet on how long this marriage will last?
Eh, she looks like she's in her forties, maybe, in that shot, not unreasonable for someone 39 who probably hasn't been religious about sunscreen. (Her hair, on the other hand, is stuck in 1991.) She looks better than Nicole Bobek's going to look if she doesn't get clean while in prison. If anything she's lost some weight since the last interview I saw with her, which CAN make you look a little older (lose body fat once you're middle-aged and you lose some of the 'padding' in your face, which makes any wrinkles or sagging more obvious--like that woman in the Nutrisystem commercials talking to Marie Osmond about how she lost fifty pounds and feels great and I just think "And you now LOOK like you're seventy with a bad dye job! Yay!")
I wonder if this is maybe her...settling down? If that's the right word. Local guy, she's not announcing it herself (sounds like hte newsies got it from the court/city records.) I hope it goes well for them.
I hope she finds love, support, peace and happiness in this marriage.
Am I there yet?
I've seen some 39 year olds look worse.
I'm 39 too. If I'd stayed in skating as a kid (and actually got good enough), we would have been contemporaries in competition.
In my spare time, I like to interview figure skating legends.
Actually, I think this is only her second marriage. I can't seem to recall her marrying anyone after her divorce from Jeff Gillooly back in the early 1990's (there was a boyfried or two -- including the one she threw a hubcab at).
I hope this marriage turns out a lot better than her first (of course, that's a pretty low standard). Hope she has gained insight on what led her to make rather self-destructive choices and is finally able to find some stability and happiness in her life.
I wish Tonya a happy (and less public) future.
I hope that she has grown as a result of the things that have happened to her, previously.
I wish her all the best!!
Everyone deserves happiness & I hope she has found "the one"!

The article says the melee happened at the 1993 national championships but it was 1994! Anyways, good luck to Tonya, maybe this time it will work out for her! I wish she could have kept skating somehow though.
Thats nice news to hear I hope she finds happiness as well.
She looks very unhappy in that photo.![]()
I wish I looked my age. This morning some young pup at the bakery called me 'sir' twice. Makes me feel so friggen' old.
I'd say she looks 39???
I think she looks pretty. She has nice hair, better than me and I'm 20's so~
