Yes, Evan is training in Lake Arrowhead now.
As for Friends on Ice, he has been listed as a performer for a long time. Not sure when that website was last updated, but he has been on the list as a performer for months. I don't think it is a certainty yet that he will be there.
Lake Arrowhead is never a secret, Frank Carroll told Phil Hersh in June that Evan is training with him @ Ice Castle, that's where he's taking the 'skating boot camp'. According to Misha Ge's twitter, Tomas Verner is also training there these days, what a gang!![]()
The rink in Palm Springs is still under construction, and the opening date has been delayed multiple times, so it's not ready yet.
Other than Ice Castle, Evan has two or three more 'home rinks' where he trains frenquently. But none of them is his 'top secret training location'. He kept that secret very well.
Yes, Evan has been listed as FOI's special guest for months, Shizuka invited him in last year's show and said he's a great friend of hers.
I asked the question regarding the time conflict between FOI and Champs Camp 2 months ago in this thread, but didn't get any answer. Yuka Sato has the same dilemma as Evan, we'll see how they can work it out.
The BEST tweet EVER! GO Evan!![]()
I enjoy the feeling when you accomplish something which is hard,
Knowing that you pushed yourself to the limit. Some people think I'm crazy but maybe what drives me is to see what my limits are and how far I can go.
omg this tweet of his just gave me goose bumps. I'm even more excited!I enjoy the feeling when you accomplish something which is hard,

I read Evan's tweet and knew it would be a hit on FSU.
For more fun, treat it like the slip of paper inside a fortune cookie ... in NYC, adults mentally add the words "...in bed" to the end of the phrase to give the fortune a whole new meaning!

Actually, many Tweets make interesting, but often perverted, fortunes when read that way.
IIRC, Evan missed part of Champ's Camp in 2009 and U.S. Figure Skating still let him compete in the GP events. U.S. Figure Skating can arrage to critique his competitive programs at a later date. Moreover, I don't think that Evan will suffer too much if he missed all of the lectures on "how to compete," etc.![]()
Hmmm...for some reason I looked at this photo for a very long time before I noticed the bruised elbow![]()

I know what you mean.
Has Evan confirmed yet if he'll be in Japan? It's a great show for a good cause, I hope he can make it. If everything goes smoothly, he'll just miss a couple of days at Champs Camp, not a big deal.
Although I generally hate twitter and think it's an absolute waste of time, I'm pretty obsessed with Evan's tweets these days (it's the quality not quantity that matters). Sounds like he's mentally, physically and technically ready for the new season!
Life is short. If you don't like your path, find a new one. There is no greater feeling than being proud of your work at the end of the day.
Yes, Evan will be in Japan. He won't be there long, but he will be there.
Evan just tweeted a video of his quad practice today.
And somewhere out there in the world, caseyedwards' head just exploded...
Here's the clip: http://www.whosay.com/evanlysacek/videos/57524
It looks GREAT, if not a tad cheated. It's hard to tell because of that girl skating bye!![]()
By the way, that rink is gorgeous, with the exercise room overlooking the ice!
WOW! It looked effortless. Bravo!
That looked pretty good. Of course a closer shot is needed to see if it's totally clean, but great effort.
WOW, the jump looked very effortless!!!
