I just finished voting. Wow, that was a longer ballot than I expected! Anyways, I gave Evan my vote, although that's a tough category - lots of gold-medal-winning guys in there! Hopefully the two skiiers and the two speedskaters will split votes

How weird and funny that Evan likes Twilight! Nevertheless, he seems like he gets a lot of opportunities. Good for him.

    Thanks for starting the thread.
I hope that he continues to have more great opportunities offered to him.
    He deserves them.

ITA, thanks folks! Most of Evan fans nice but low key, so I think we deserve to have our own thread to share the information of our beloved boy.

Video from "Insider" regarding yesterday's Twilight premier:

    Team Edward or Team Jacob?

You can find Evan and Kristi's interview at the end. The following part is not shown in the video, but mentioned in the report:

The ripped Taylor melts ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi's heart. She blushed, "For romance's sake, Edward's just beyond reality. But, Jacob, I like the warmth and the whole muscle thing." Fellow Olympic champ Evan Lysacek got a little envious of her affection and she quickly responded, "There's nothing sexier than a man on skates," and chose Team Evan instead.
    I'll chose Team Evan too!

Ellen is replaying some of the most popular episodes on: The Ellen Degeneres Show Season Episode, the Evan and Anna one was shown yesterday!

Here's another interview from the Insider, Evan is shown right after Mark and followed by Anna.

    Team Jake vs Team Vienna

Once again, Evan handled it in a very classy way:

“DWTS" runner-up Evan Lysacek socialized with the then-on couple during the season. From his first-hand account, he perceived them as "very close and affectionate towards each other and I like them both on a personal level, so I just wish them well."

Kristi and Evan on the red carpet last night.

Man, Kristi does NOT age. So unfair!

I'm really anxious about going to the AT&T store. It doesn't look like it's in the best part of town, but at least it's only a 25 min drive for me, and it's in the middle of the day on a Saturday! Let's hope it won't take me 4 or 5 hours on the 405... lol.

    News from Icenetwork

Lysacek could add an ESPY to his trophy case
Olympic gold medalist up for 'Best U.S. Male Olympic Athlete'

When you login the voting page:

    http://espn.go.com/espys/

Make sure to check "Countdown to ESPYs", there's a cute piece: Behind the Scenens at the 2010 ESPYs Promos: an inside glimpse behind the scenes at the ESPYs commercial shoot with host Seth Meyers and 2010 Olympic Champion figure skater Evan Lysacek

You'll know a little secret about Evan's famous Rhapsody in Blue tux.

Does anyone know which figure skaters ever won ESPYs before? I always thought figure skating is left out by ESPN and the mainstream sports market in USA, we always see football, basket ball, baseball, tennis, golf and hockey players, track and field athelets, gymnasts and swimmers got recognized in ESPYs, but figure skaters hardly ever get any recognition. Although I won't put too much hope in this one, still hope Evan would make a miracle and win this honor for figure skating.

Wish you and all the fans who'll be there have a good time! He'll hang around for 2 hours, which might be the longest M&G for him, I'm sure he'd love to spend some valuable one-on-one time with his fans.

Just remember that it's been one year since MJ's ... Time flys!

In Evan's interview with Access Hollywood, he mentioned Michael's impact on him. I love "Man in the Mirror", I think it's one of his best EX numbers.

Olympic gold medal figure skater — and “Dancing with the Stars” runner-up — Evan Lysacek too remembered where he was on that fateful afternoon, one year ago.

“I was actually close by here training and I was really, really, really upset by it because I knew several people at Staples Center that were ecstatic about the progress he was making on the tour that was about to start,” Evan said. “I’ve been a huge fan of his for years. I’ve skated to many of his songs and been inspired by others… [It’s] just very, very sad, but hopefully we can, the next couple of days, remember him in the most positive light.”
Another gorgeous picture from the premier

I love Kristi's dress, simple and elegant. Evan's natural skin tone is beautiful, he really should keep it that way, hopefully he'll be motivated to stop over tanning himself after watching the Twilight.

Joannie just tweeted Evan, so cute.

JoannieRochette‎: @EvanLysacek just voted for you for the Espy awards... Can't wait to be in LA!!
Fingers crossed for a victory of figure skating @ ESPYs. Go Evan and Joannie!

Evan's Cincinnati trip is to join P&G for their Go Vibrant Campaign.

Following is the detail for Go Vibrant Cincinnati Project, sounds very exciting.

A coalition of over 25 organizations announced today that they are forming a non-for-profit partnership – called Go Vibrant Cincinnati – to design and execute innovative healthy initiatives in Cincinnati.

“Go Vibrant Cincinnati is a breakthrough concept that combines the resources and energy of leading private sector and civic organizations,” said John Pepper, former CEO of Procter & Gamble and current Chairman of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. “This partnership is built on harnessing the power of all of our organizations around a vision to make Cincinnati one of the top 10 healthiest cities in ten years.”

The meet and greet was pretty quiet! We had about ten minutes with Evan. Got to play around with the gold medal. That thing is heavy! He suggested we get Lays potato chips, the baked ones, paint them metallic, get a blue ribbon, and then we have our own Olympic gold medals. Yay.

Yes, we had quite a long conversation with Evan today. I much preferred it to the two times I met him in Spokane - in Spokane we were rushed along and Evan didn't get a chance to be personable, which I can understand, given the amount of people.

He was super sweet and super personable. Evan = <3

I always think those Olympic medals(I mean ALL the medals of Vancouver games, not only Evan's) looks like Lays chips!!

This link was posted on Evan and Anna Facebook:

"Dancing with Stars Lysacek coming to N.S."

<Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek will host Ballroom with a Twist in the Schooner Showroom at Casino Nova Scotia on Aug. 12.">

Evan´s participation in DWTS has brought him a lot of appearances, which of course was to be expected for a man who is the reigning Olympic champion.
