^^^ Why not? Evan is a hard and consistent worker and he seems to have tamed the quad. I am all excited at the prospect of "Epic Battle of the Olympic Gold Medallists"!![]()
So you want to see another battle between one skater who can't do quads and another who is all about the quads and little else such as transitions choreography and spins? No thank you. I'll root for the skaters who have pushed the sport forward in the last couple years and not just in jumps.
I'm all for watching as many top-level and accomplished skaters give it their best shot. I hope they all skate clean and may the best man win.![]()
In all fairness, neither Chan or Takahashi's Vancouver performances would have faired as well at Nice either. Both skaters have improved since Vancouver and the scoring system is different. Only time will tell if Lysacek, Plushenko or Weir can come back and be competitive. However, I am interested to see each of these skaters make a comeback.
Sorry, if this has been posted earlier:

I agree re the hair. Evan's hair has looked better -- he seems a bit tired too, perhaps from the travel, etc.
Wow, tho' can that gold medal be any huger? Wonder what the gold medal designers have in store for Sochi?
Thank you, Jaana! The first webcast the article mentions can be seen here:
https://statedept.connectsolutions.c...&pbMode=normal
It begins at the 16-minute mark, Evan's speech is about 15 minutes long, and then there is a Q & A.
Enjoy!
Look at the poise and confidence from this young man.![]()
I can't wait to see him skate again.
L Match: Liukin, Lysacek lean on each other
Go Evan and Nastia!
There has been clips from Roxanne in All That Skate earlier, but this must be a rather new one of very nice quality:
