In terms of actual ages they are middle aged, but as far as their bodies, pysch, and development curve they are ancient by now. I am actually more surprised they are continuing than Pang & Tong. It seemed to me the judges were sending a message last year but they didnt get the memo.

Well, maybe as soon as China gets a decent #3 pair (after P/T and S/H) they'll retire. And why not skating till then.. A 5th or 6th place finish at Worlds is not so bad in terms of points, to help the team maintain its 3 spots.
I don't know why but I see them competing till Sochi at least. Not sure about 2018 but that is not improbable given the latest example of their elder compatriots. By that time they may become a really good old team like Sziudeks or Pettikhs , maybe without making difficult tricks but developing some sort of their own style
