On the Road Again
My carpool listens to a classic rock station. When they play Werewolves of London, everybody has to howl along. We do get funny looks from other drivers.
When I'm old, I don't want them to say of me, "She's so charming." I want them to say, "Be careful, I think she's armed."

I agree that anything by Muse is always great driving music.
What the hell is a Ninja Twizzle? Does it have anything to do with hard shelled aquatic life forms that live in the sewer?
I love driving around with old, classic rock songs. Anything by the Beatles, the Doors, and the Rolling Stones is usually pretty good.
My friends and I actually drove down the Pacific Coast Highway a few weeks ago, so we picked a lot of California and road-trip related songs. My favorites were "Dani California" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Dashboard" by Modest Mouse, and, once we hit the O.C. (of course), "California" by Phantom Planet.
I have certain artists I like to listen to while on the road.
Joni Mitchell
John Stewart
Hiroshima
Tom Waits
Cherryholmes (Bluegrass)
...to name a few. I taking a small road trip tonight, over into MA, so I'll be firing up the CD player in the car, 'cause it's a 2-hour ride, RT.
Bryan Adams' songs - "Summer of '69," "Run to You," "There Will Never Be Another tonight"
Lionel Richie's - "Dancing on the Ceiling"
Billy Joel's "Travelin' prayer (from "Piano Man") - actually anything by Billy Joel!
Bruce Springsteen's - "Thunder Road," "Badlands"
When I'm in my more "mellow"/folkie mood - Gordon Lightfoot's "Canadian Railroad Trilogy," "Carefree Highway," "Highway Songs" (from a wonderful album/Cd called "Old Dan's Records")
another mellow one - acapella style - James Taylor's "Lonesome Road"

Other than that, anything fairly upbeat that you can sing along to.
