Ok. Summer is here and it's time to roll down the car windows and blast the radio/iPod/cd player with your favorite song to drive to. What is it?
I would have to say that mine is U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name"

"Well I was standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona...."
The Eagles! What a great driving song!
"Where the Streets Have No Name" is a great one. I also love Muse's "Time Is Running Out" and "Starlight" for driving.
Also anything by Joan Jett. Good ol rock n roll
There are others, but I can never think of them when I want to.
"Radar Love" by Golden Earring.
I would have been here sooner, but the bus kept stopping for other people to get on it. - Sheldon Cooper, The Big Bang Theory
"Hard Sun" by Eddie Vedder is a good one to drive to, especially passing the Central Valley farmlands on I-5.
I also like to listen to Tori Amos's album "Scarlet's Walk" while taking a long drive. She wrote the thing on a cross-country trip across America, anyway.![]()
Low Rider!
Without fear you cannot find courage
Also Muse "Stockholm Syndrome" ..............a lot of Muse basically![]()
I like pretty strong rocking songs when I drive because they wake me up. A couple that I like are:
Going Mobile by The Who
Life is a Highway by Tom Cochrane
Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses
Mustang Sally
Red Barchette by Rush
Let It Ride by Bachman-Turner-Overdrive
I'm In Love With My Car by Queen
Running on Empty
It did once remind me to buy fuel just in time.![]()
All of Glee. All of it.
I've been in a mellow mood while driving recently so I've had "Feel It All Around" by Washed Out and "Chinatown" by Wild Nothing on constant rotation.
Logic is in the eye of the logician --Gloria Steinem
Can someone forward these music selections to any skater or dance team still in need of music for this year?No more Edvin Marton, Raul diBlasio, or other overused pieces please!

Riding the Storm Out REO Speedwagon
Highway to Hell AC/DC
Rock and Roll Band Boston
I got pulled over for speeding listening to Riding the Storm out and told the police officer that I got caught up in the song and had no clue how fast I was going and he let me off with a warning.
I was reading this thread when "Love Shack" by the B-52s came on. Perfect driving song.
Top of my head ... these ...
Chevy Van by Sammy Johns
Roam by B52
Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson
Slow Ride by Foghat
Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen
On the Dark Side by John Cafferty
Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks
Eh, there are way too many songs that make you want to step on it.
"I drove all night" - Cyndi Lauper
"Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned / Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned."
