    Why thank you.

C'mon then, who we picking for the ladies champ?

Please let it be JJ holding the trophy on Saturday, but my head is saying Stosur at the moment. She'd be a very worthy winner, at least. (Well they all would lol)

Thread title ... you ornery boy. I'm clutching my pearls.

I'd have gone with "Tennis 2010: Federer-Free for 2 days" ... but that's just me. And would require too much updating when Roger loses in Wimbledon's second round to Donald Young.

I'll be the cheese standing alone ...

Head and H.EART both say Dementieva. This one doesn't slip through her lovely fingers, and whichever of JJ or SS come through lays egg enough in the championship match to mitigate Elena's service [/lack thereof] game.

Re: The toughness factor: I think that Elena "is" mentally strong, relative to the WTA elite and relative to the final four here. She also possesses the most big-match experience. These factors should really help her in the final two matches.

Or not. I'm sounding a bit like the Beefcake circa 2004-2006 ... writing to convince myself that Sasha Elena is finally gonna toss off her drab bridesmaid's personae and become the queen.

^Would be great. In fact a JJ-Dementieva final would guarantee a happy winner for me.

Aw, how sweet, someone gave you a pearl necklace.

    Djok's shirt is sorta retro.

I feel like I'm in a dream. But it can't be a dream because there are no boy dancers!

Let me guess, Donald Young is an American?

    Never even heard of him!

Bad fight on an Olivia Cruise, HUGE custody battle over the cats.

Melzer seems even more revived and pumped.

Nice win for Rafa. Three close sets versus a fellow Spaniard with a strong claycourt game. Great prep for the final stretch at RG.

This is how you want to say hello to the shiney happy new thread?

We keep it fluffly and light here in tennisland.

Anyway, if you don't know Donald, you're missing the AMAZING FUTURE OF TENNIS.

Stat fun: Melzer is 3 of 21 on break chances! Djokovic is a muuuuuch more tidy 4 for 5. But they're identical on total points won. (At least all of that was true before the scoreboard froze on my some 10 minutes ago.)

Almagro is kind of an understated cutie (isn't he?) as is the Djoker and his 90's attire. And Melzer has a good, chiselled face. Ahhh.
