german press already reports, if weinzierl not finishes top10 at euros, it´s propable that hecken will travel to euros.
aaaarh.
hecken was far mor incosistent than weinzierl this season and would herself not be able to finish top 10 at euros to be fair.

i (sadly) cannot see weinzierl (and above all) and hecken neither crash into top 10 without the other girls making big mistakes.

yes, that´s absolutely my thought. but shouldn´t her be given the worlds spot too?
she really deserved it this season and who knows how many possibilities there are for her. next season is evry important and would be good for her to show herself to the judges and maybe get 1 grand prix.

otherwise (imho) hecken starts again with an advantage in next saison, not fair for me.

and please don´t get me wrong, i really like hecken and her program this season, but weinzierl was far more consistent and has more technical quality in her programs.

They should be able to do Senior B's but no ISU Championships. If I remember correctly the age changes don't kick in until after the 2013 / 2014 season

- savchenko is ill again, got again the flue she had before TEB; she tries to get healthy withput antiotics
- german government holds on in not willing to pay steuer, who seems to be in trouble, after s/s retire (working for other nations seem posible)
- steuer and savchenko give compliments to prölß/blommaert; steuer mentioned the pair would fit well in s/s style (he praises the work which is done in oberstdorf with them)
- decision is made: if weinzierl not finishes top 10, hecken will travel to worlds
(the coach of both of them said: sport is no democracy) --- i just can repeat myself, this is not fair, send sarah to euros, she will not finish top10 either

- second article mentioned, zhiganshina is close to get her german passport. it should happen in febr/march, so she will eb able to skate in sotchi fpr germany.

not the biggest fan of the sd, seemed a little bit slow at the beginning and i was just distracted by her skirt, it´s almost everywhere

i enjoyed their fd much more despite the strange music compilation (and the costumes were awful)

but great to see that next year (with koch/nüchtern) germany will have 3 great dance teams of which 1 unfortunately has to stay at home at international championships, but nice development.

btw: nice to see some audience in hamburg

as far as I know they don't have them yet, but I think I read somewhere that Van Cleave had a German grandfather, though i am not sure how much that would help in getting a passport.

on another note .... I really hope Weinzierl can show what she's got at Euros! She is listed on the entry list for Junior Nationals too, so I guess she is serious about going for the ticket to Junior Worlds too.

The German Fed is probably wanting to spread the spots around, but if Weinzierl can show what she can, she might be able to get very close to the Top 10 at Euros and I am still hoping for a miracle She has gone through so many injury's in the past and after switching to Szcypa she just seems to have improved so much!

to the 2 new pairs.

tomchak/kosheev are hard to watch, sorry. there are miles between these to skaters. was she a single skater? she doesn´t seem like an ice dancer, he is so much better than her. am i totally wrong or was his skating with yankovskaya?

lorenz/kholoniuk seemed to have great potential. he is really great and she (to admit, never known or seen her before) fits very well. this couple could have a future, and might it be bright.

Thanks for all the news. I don't understand the griping, though. Nathalie and Sarah finished within a couple points of each other at Nationals, its not as if one was dominant. So the National champ goes to Worlds probably and the skater with the better season goes to Euros- seems fair. Nathalie is given the same chance as everyone else to finish top 10 at Euros- but if she isn't strong enough to do that (which, to be honest, I don't think she quite is yet), then why not spread the spots around? If Nathalie stomped Sarah by 10 or 20 points at Nationals then I might have my side-eye up, but there is no crime going on here IMO.

To the question about a German passport: Van Cleave mentioned in Oberstdorf that he is working towards it, language test was done, if I remember correctly, but before he can apply officially he needs 2 years of residency in Germany.

And Aljona: I was at the press conference as well and I don't recall that she mentioned being ill again, she spoke of how long it took to overcome the inflammation of the sinuses.

And both said that the costumes presented in Dortmund might still not be the final ones (maybe they rethink the ones for the free which were very black, but that is just a guess)

i surely would like to see that. but how should z/g and k/c counted together place 13th or better?

5. GER1 (and this is by far the best placement z/g could achieve)

8. GER 2 -never see this happen because...

teams that sould be behind them for 3rd spot for GER

GBR 1, FRA 2, AZE, LTU, GBR 2, UKR, EST

i cannot see z/g came in in front of r/t or her lil´brother (whoever is sent as rus 3), so k/c have to bebehind z/g on 7. sorry. that will not happen they surely can beat some of the teams listed above, but not all of them. fortune would be totally an germans side if this happens
