the junior worlds were a huge disappointment for the german federation.
but i agree the writers above.
the cance couple okay, no chance, nicole schott just gained some experience, but wiedzorek and dreschers results are really displeasing.
wiedzorek got so many chances at the jgp and at junior worlds and he has bad results most of the times.
his trip to europeans was highlight by that.
and drescher, even out of form, should have made better.
3 years ago she debuted well at worlds junior scene, until now it only gets worse. even if it was not possible (because of her current jumping abilities) to hold on the 2nd spot, she should have achieved a pleasing performance.
i really like her skating but these results are just

Philipp Tischendorf retires from competitive skating:
    http://www.philipp-tischendorf.de/Home.18.0.html
(announcement on his homepage in German)

He names injuries and illnesses as the reason. Unfortunately, it is true, he was constantly injured in the past few years and as a result he never reached his full potential. But he gave some beautiful performances and he competed at the 2007 Europeans.

I always enjoyed Tischendorf, he was, in fact, one of the few watchable German male single skaters.
    I'm gonna miss him

I am so sorry to hear that. I only saw him at Euros in 2007 but he really made a long lasting impression on me.
I always hoped he would be able to heal and come back.

The few times I saw him, he was promisingly good and had the voidiness factor. All the best for him!

Manuel Leitner met the Team DC envelope criteria at Gardena Spring Trophy and Anton Kempf at Triglav Trophy, so both men should be on the team for next season.

Really said to see Philipp retiring. But it might be best for his health in the long run.

I suspect there might be a few more retirement of the older Team Germany skaters. Constanze Paulinus retired after the World University Games.

I liked the SP she did in Erzurum. Very elegant and enoyble when she's "on", but I guess we could say about half the German ladies...

That's a shame, after coming back from injury for such a long time. Do you know what she will do now?

As far as I know she is pursuing a university degree, she has been at university ever since she has trained in berlin, so she is basically getting on with her life, which is good.

it seems, like you have doubts sandra. why?

to be honest, i have doubts to, but what else should she do?

if hecken would have secured the second spot at euros, i would be sure, seeing her again, but now, we´ll never now.

i hope, she will once more have a great comeback.

Her health might not allow her to return to competition.

I hear the National Team list for 2011 / 2012 should be published around May 1.

I hope they didn't cut too many skaters from last years team, especially from the ones that had to sit out all or most of the season due to injury.

Anyone heard any rumors about the team envelopes yet?

The German Federation has just published the first version (there are usually some appeals afterwards) of the National Team 2011/2012
