So which programs have been your favorites from the ladies?

Mine are:

Lu Chen 1995 Worlds Short and Long Program (to Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 and to The Last Emperor Soundtrack)

Lu Chen 1996 Worlds Short--She is the spring breeze!

Lu Chen 1998 Olympics LP--The most beautiful and emotional skate I have ever scene. Undoubtedly, Lu Chen is the most artistic skater to grace the ice, and this program showed it.

Midori Ito 1988 Olympics LP and 1989 Worlds LP

Sarah Hughes 2002 Olympics LP--No matter what you say, this program was special.

Nancy Kerrigan 1994 Olympics LP

YuNa Kim's Lark Ascending and Danse Macarbre

Let's see: Miki's SP at Worlds 2009 and LP at Worlds 2010, Mao's SP at Worlds 2008 and LP at Worlds 2010, Yu-Na's SP and LP at Worlds 2009, Sasha's SP at the 2006 Olympics, Midori's LP at Worlds 1989, Tonya's LP at U.S. Nationals 1991, Sarah Hughes' LP at the 2002 Olympics, Lu Chen's LP at the 1998 Olympics, Tatiana Malinina's LP at Worlds 1999, Akiko's LP at the 2010 Olympics, etc.

Mao Asada's 2009 short program to Clair de Lune (probably the performance at World Team Trophy).

Other favorites are YuNa's SP at 2009 Worlds (Danse Macabre) and LP at 2010 Olympics (Gershwin).

Favorite U.S. Nationals programs are Mirai Nagasu's winning 2008 short program (I got Rhythm) and Stephanie Rosenthal's 2006 U.S. Nationals short program to Rockit.

Michelle Aranjuez 2003 nationals and Tosca 2004 nationals-I know these are not her best programs but they are my top 2. Her 1996 Worlds Short program is also my top three. Crazy to see a 15 year old skate like that...especially today. Oh also Lyra 1998 nats...um...hmmmm

I will do non-kwan programs.


Sasha-I love her Dark Eyes at the Olympics and Mal at 2004 Worlds and R&J at the Olympics. Even with the falls I would include this in her top 3 skates. best she ever skated IMO.

I LOVED Jenny Kirk's Chicago at the 2004 Nationals.

I don't know why but I love watching Kimmie Meissner's 2006 Worlds program. i was just so happy for her.

Irina 2005 Worlds-best she ever skated and I was really happy for her after everything she had been through.

Mirai at the 2010 olympics-So sad she could not medal with that program when at any other Olympics she would have.

I loved Yu Na's James Bond program this year.

Michelle Kwan's "Dream of Desdemona" SP, particularly at the 1996 Ultimate Four Competition.

Sublime and perfect in every way.

It can go either way... For example, I only liked the Olympics program that Sarah put out. But I loved Lulu's 94-95 Short and Longs Programs.
