I like #1 - the lion and unicorn. Cute.
    Me too!

Has anyone shown this to their kids for their reactions?

One of the articles made a good point--the target consumer isn't adults but children, so financially they're better off making something kids like and everyone else hates than the other way around.

ETA: On second thought, I think this will be a mascot I remember, just like I remember Izzy. Is it better to be remembered in a bad way or to be totally forgotten?

Also, have the companies who wanted licenses to make stuff with the mascots on it already been contracted? If so, they should get a major refund if for nothing else than the risk.

My dad called me to ask me if I'd seen them and he's like, "They look like anthropomorphic vibrators."

They just look freakin' creepy though the video was kinda cute.

I think they sort of look like Wii remotes. Or maybe I've just been playing Wii too much!

I saw these on the TV last night. Just dreadful.

I think they must be paying homage to Dr Who. In that case they could have just made a David Tennant Mascot. Now that would be cute.

Mascots need to be more like Fatso the Fat-arsed wombat which was the unofficial Sydney mascot.

I saw the picture of the costumed mascots first and thought they were awful. But the cartoon is really nice and the T-shirts with the mascots look great !

Can mascots be called sterile? Because I feel like I have finally figured out what's wrong with them.

Well, what else could be produced by designers who live on the national London dish - cocaine?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was beginning to think my weirdness was showing again.

Well not surprising seeing they come from the country that invented the Tellytubbies.
