    RIP Ronnie James Dio

I'm not sure if I'm more surprised that he passed away, or that he was 67 years old. RIP

For a rocker from that era, that's a ripe old age. RIP.

Poo. He introduced us to some amazing guitarists, and wrote some awesome stuff (Rainbow in the Dark, Holy Diver, for starters), and when he stayed at my sister's hotel, he was nothing but a gentleman.

And he always gave 100% in concert.

Loved Ronnie James in every band he was in. Rainbows in the Dark best headbanging song ever. RIP.

I saw it when I was logging into my Yahoo account just now. Bawling my brains out. WTF with this cancer garbage...I'm so sick of it! I saw him live many moons ago. Sick of the whole Ozzy vs. Dio thing, reminds me of skate debates as to who is the "better" skater...they were/are both tremendous vocalists and performers of all heavy metal time. RIP Dio.

I've been listening to Dio since my very early childhood. I adore his work in Rainbow (Kill the King, Stargazer, Catch the Rainbow, Temple of the King, Rainbow Eyes...), Black Sabbath, numerous other projects. He had a unique voice and style. Besides he was an outstanding songwriter and composer. His vocal style and professionalism were unmatched.
That is really sad. But he has accomplished more than many can only dream about. He has become a legend long before he passed away. Many rock vocalist starting the 80s has been infuenced by him.
    Long Live Rock'n'Roll!
    RIP
