Better still, can't she be dressed as a fig?

I see another problem with your concept cholla : the costumes. Because wearing only serpent skin will make people run away : no judges, no marks, no medals.
Interesting concept indeed : you win your first trip to a Zoo instead of a medal

Audience suffering from split personality?
Those who identify with Cleopatra will find it depressing while those who identify with the snake will find it uplifting.

So the result depends on the composition of the particular judging panel.

But if there is a confusion, I think you have to loose 3 pts. That's the rule

Maybe the male should skate as Cleopatra, just so the judges lean towards being on the snakes side. Can't you see Charlie dressed as Cleopatra, with a black bob wig on?

That's very likely outcome. We don't want to risk that. So we will choose better music. Any suggestion for uplifting spin to double suicide of Romeo and Juliet?

    Use Prokofiev's original, happy ending.

An epilogue showing how the Montagues and Capulets learned from the tragedy and lived in peace and harmony, happily ever after?

This isn't "french news" strictly speaking, but since I translated this for one of you FSU members, then for the authors, I can as well post a link here : Pechalat/Bourzat have posted an interesting article on their FB Sports Team fan page : "Seminar Athlete and Artist". Scroll down for the English version.

Ah, not a problem - most of the judges are snakes, but very few are Cleopatras.
