Cool, I can't wait to see the FD. I haven't cared for their programs the last few seasons, so I hope to see this one is really good.

And no one can say it is not uplifting! I love it.

I said it could be uplifting, but some musics from Chaplin's movies are not that uplifting. I think it'll suit them well anyway

I want to be excited, but I'm worried they're playing it safe, losing their individual style (remember the straight jackets?), and the program will look like any other Chaplin program becuase of the "uplifting" rule.

I'm already picturing them finishing the program with the same clappy piece that Oda(and most skaters) ends with.

So, for now, we have Orser + Wilson.
I am so excited to hear this news, and I cannot wait to see what they come up with for Brian.

I really really HOPE that Brian sticks with Orser for 4 years and goes to Sochi with him.

And yes, I do think that if Brian works with Orser and keeps up on the comeback trail-mind you I have always been and a fan and really, really, want him to have an olympic medal, he will go to Sochi.

Orser is the perfect coach for Brian, I have been saying that for some time.

Charlie Chaplin sounds great for Pechalat/Bourzat, indeed!

Enough already with the talk about "uplifting". That does not mean that the dances have to be happy and cheerful. Uplifting will only mean no gunshots and dying on the ice.

Oh, Hedwig, I so want to see someone skate Cleopatra and die on the ice.

Would it be uplifting if she then, after dying, would rise to heaven?

Being Egyptian, she'd have to go to the underworld. At least at first.

It might be uplifting, but it wouldn't be realistic considering her actions while on earth.

Chaplin to the rescue yet again? Petr Barna was perfect. B/S were charming. Nobu was only barely Chaplinesque..he had the suit...For P/B I'm not convinced.

To make Cleopatra's story uplifting, it's very easy : you have to see it from the vipers' point of view. Hey we've just bitten and killed the most famous queen of Egypt and of the whole Antiquity, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!

Chaplin for P&B??? Not a good choice IMO, they could do so much better... I'm not eager to see this. Sad, as they are so talented. I wish they had never gone to Zhulin in the first place, I think what he came up with for them was rather boring...

    That concept sounds absolutely kick-asp.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.
