Some news about Joubert:
-he took a 3 week break, except some light running
-he is keeping the same SP, but will skate the long to Inception
-he will be in Courchevel with the French team for the last 2 weeks of July
- the Poitiers rink is closing and he will share his time between 3 rinks in Niort, Tours and Paris. Patrick Gueppe, one of his coaches, is in Tours. Guyon is at another rink in Chatellerault, but Brian does not want to go there, because the rink is too small. He still wants to work with Veronique though. In Paris, he will train with Annick Dumont's group.
- This season is important but not major for him (Not sure how to properly translate "capitale"). He will get a lighter competition schedule (Not sure if he is talking about the GP, the French masters/Nationals, or Senior Bs, but I am afraid he means GP)

Reports elsewhere have indicated that Joubert will rework the SP with DenStavs - I'd prefer for him to get a new one entirely, but considering how unsettled his training situation is going to be, I'll cut him some slack. It sounds like it's going to be a serious hassle it until they complete the new rink in Poitiers.

Joubert has also said somewhere else, I think in a video interview, that he really wants to qualify for the GPF so that he can skate in Sochi this coming season. I don't think he plans on skipping his GPs.

Pernelle Carron confirmed today to me that she and Lloyd Jones are now training in Deeside under Marika Humphreys-Baranova.

She said that after the last season they analyzed what the need to improve and decided to work with Marika in order to bring a fresh view to their preparation. They are very happy with their new training environment.

That's great for them .I hope Marika can give them some good programmes if she is going to choreograph for them . I'm sure being a technical specialist she can help them with their levels .Carron and Lloyd look great together I hope they have a better season .

Marika is probably the toughest ISU Technical Specialist out there and she might be able to help them on the levels (something that Linichuk has been totally failing at ).

I think choreography is their least worry at the moment. the training conditions might be a more serious problem.
