I wasn't...someone posted it on the French forum. They were introduced to the audience and he said that they have been skating together for only 2 months. He is new to pairs, so it's a start.
It's an english version of "Je l'aime a mourir". The original song is so beautiful. This version is ok.

Isn't he a bit short for her? He's slightly-built too. They do look good together, just wondering how the lifts will work.

He is 1m82. I guess that would be 6'1". Yannick is 1m83.
She is 1m67.
In other videos, he skated in a tank top and he has a pretty muscular upper body. Since he is 19yo, that's the age when men usually start hitting the weight room to builk up.

I saw them practicing on the Monday after TEB. He is pretty muscular already and they look very good together. Their jumps were all good but they tried only one lift. I think they are far from ready to enter any kind of competition.

1m82 is not 6'1" it's 5'11" and like a half

Also any news on Joubert? Has he recovered from his stomach flu?

Not, it's not like a half at all, 1m82 is exactly 5'97142 so Kirkbiggestfan wins and you lose. 5'11/1m56 would indeed be extremely small for an adult pair skater.

I don't know where you got your calculations from, but 1m82 = 5' 11.7"
just a smidgen under 6' (1m83 = 6')

I think cholla got confused by the fact that there are twelve inches in a foot. Many online metric conversion calculators decimalize the number of feet and don't give a breakdown by feet and inches.

1.82 meters is 5.97113 feet according to the calculator I used.

5.97113 feet is 5 feet, 11.6535 inches, not 5 feet, 9.7113 inches.

Vanessa is about 5'2'' which is 1m60.
...1m67 would make her almost 5'5''. A little tall for pairs and for her new partner.

Yeah, no way is Vanessa 1m67. She is very short, maybe she looks taller on tv?

I am really excited to see more of Vanessa and Morgan, as Vanessa is such a lovely skater. I am happy she is skating pairs but I think she should be skating singles too, she had all the triples right up to lutz when she skated for GB.

cholla, you aren't reading the conversion table properly. There are twelve inches in a foot, so 0.5 feet, for example, is 6 inches, not five.

OK, I know there are 12'' in a foot, I went to school and to U in the US and lived there for 27 years and I should have remembered, you're right, sorry

This has nothing to do with French pair skaters but I'm editing my post to ask : does anyone know if Eric Millot is still coaching in San Diego ? I checked the San Diego Ice Arena website, but the last update for the coaching staff goes back to March 2007. If I remember correctly, Yannick Ponsero came to work with him for a few weeks in the spring of 2008 or 2009, so he was still there.

The journalists held hostages are from France Télévision.
Figure skating is broadcasted on France Télévision and everyone is invited to show support.
Every single day, the journalists and the TV hosts end their show by remembering that those journalists are still prisoners and for how many days.
I remember the first time that happened was for the journalists held hostages in Lebanon in the 80s, there was a counter in the corner of the TV screen. It lasted for 3 years, until they got freed.

There are banners for them on many city halls and public buildings, like each time a french citizen is taken hostage or is considered unfairly imprisoned abroad. It keeps them constantly on the public radar.
If Ben Laden is unlikely to be able to appreciate the gesture, the french public is and that's what matters.
