Let´s see if they come to Finlandia Trophy. They are most welcome!

I was so afraid Amodio would go to Morozov.I know Fernandez has survived, but for me survived is the operational word . I don't believe we'll see the best these two talented guys are capable of until they wise up and get away from him.. More trite programs coming up.

I am so confused about Vanessa James. First she was skating with Coia, then people were saying she wasn't. Now she is again? And they are doing TEB after all?

I am pleased if they are as she is extremely talented (and a very nice person.)

As far as I know, they just have yet to update the roster with another French team (or give up the spot to another country). It's my understanding that James and Coia only really skated together for a week or two, so I don't understand Gailhaguet's assigning them without having even created programs or anything!

Thanks Tony. That's what I had thought too, but then I kept reading recent posts that imply they are skating together and doing TEB.

It looks like Morgan Cipres could be Vanessa James new partner. They had positive try-outs recently.

He is a solid jumper but did not have a consistent triple axel, so it makes sense to see him switch to pairs. It looks like he is now 6'1" and has a strong upper-body. He is 19, while Vanessa is 23yo.

Thanks for the update on Vanessa James! I was wondering if she would ever find another partner. I hope that everything works out for her and this partnership works out.

I vaguely remember reading here that Stanislav Leonovich was back in France. Is that true?

That's what I heard. He had a brief stint in Oswiecim, Poland but the Polish Fed could not afford to keep him there full-time (instead they send some promising skaters to Gauthier's camp now) and he moved back to France.

So he could be a good choice for James/Cipres.

Is Cipres still competing in singles? I think I saw his name on the list for the French Masters.

after watching Pairs Free in Graz I was wondering why the Polish Federation doesn`t take advantage of Siudek and his wife they are such good coaches , what a waste sending pupils to Canada when having a brilliant coach next door, just like Steuer not training any athletes from the german federation.

    I totally agree.

The Polish Fed is a complete joke, unfortunately. It's stupid politics. Siudeks are far more respected internationally than at home.

Can the french ice dance teams just dump their FDs en masse and start over from scratch please?

Even Blanc and Bouquet are disappointing me. What a plodding mess that was.

And I don't even want to discuss that "FD" that C&J are going to make it worlds again this with.
