At the Olympics Amodio looked slow compared to many of the upcoming men. Perhaps the strategy is to give him empty programs with emoting and some arm waving, so that he appears faster, while keeping some dancing in place when he's about to start the SL FW.

Miyamoto's work was a revelation to me this year I can't wait to see more.

As to Ingo..I do give credit where credit is due. He's come up with some wonderful lifts, innovative ( but not always beautiful ) entrances and exits for elements , but he still exhibits the weaknesses I mentioned...And as a costume designer , Aliona makes a great skater.

The success S/S have achieved is generally a result of their consistency as athletes and their wonderful pairs elements ( which is a credit to their coach ); but it's in spite those weaknesses , not because of them.

Can you believe that I really liked this music first time I heard it, but last season it was like epidemic, and barely anyone used the original composition, If I remember well.

A few unimportant news BTW.

Surya Bonaly participated to La Ferme Célébrités, the french version of the swedish show The Farm. It was set in South Africa. She didn't won but was among the last four finalists. She did well. The show wasn't a huge success though (hopefully real TV is fading away slowly) but TF1 is by far the first french channel so their criterias are high as far as TV audience goes.
She was in Cannes for the festival lately.

Gwendal Peizerat participated to Koh Lanta, the french version of Survivor, among an athletes' team (vs ex-"survivors"). He was the 4th eliminated participant. In the regional elections in March, he was elected on the list of the parti socialiste in Rhones-Alpes, the region of Lyon.

And Candeloro wants to learn acting for his "next career" as he won't be skating much anymore (he has hosted TV games and several little TV shows ; he's learning as he says). He also wants to stage a musical on ice in France, a big one, in 2 or 3 years.

Speaking of Candeloro and Bonaly, apparently the municipality wants to shut down the rink at Colombes and lease or sell it to a bowling club.

Colombes has been the club of Candeloro, Bonaly and of Moniotte&Lavanchy. Apparently it is not an elite national training center any more, but it is an active club, teaching young children.

On the French Federation's website there is a banner asking people to sign a petition to support the club, but they have not put up the text of the petition and you cannot access it by clicking on the banner. There are two petitions on this subject circulating on the internet, one of them initiated by the minister of sports. I don't know if the FFSG's is one of these or a separate one.

Young children and older one ! Their ballet is french national champion, and I also train there
