Aww, I've always enjoyed their skating. They will be missed and I wish them all the best with whatever comes next for each of them.
An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

They were so good. I think their Requiem for a Dream was the best of all.

NONONONONONONONONONONOOOOOO! I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that. They had an exquisite style and connection with each other; it just sucks that there were injuries and illinesses that held them back from collecting more medals. I, too, was hoping they'd stick around for another year or two. . . :

They are by far my favorite American pairs team. I wish them the best as they go forward to the next chapter of their lives.

I think they were the only ones to use the music from the actual soundtrack, not a remix.

ITA. I so wish that Brooke and Ben hadn't had so many interruptions in their training. Even though they didn't have the most difficult technical program at Nationals their freeskate was my favorite.

Like Navboms, this announcement was expected but it makes me sad all the same. C&O never had the chance to really reach their potential due to all the lost time caused by the injuries and illnesses. I wish them both all the best in whatever they do in the future.

Many of my favorite skaters/teams won't be around next season.

ugh another retirement that I was hoping against. I really enjoyed them as a team and hoped for them to have an injury free season.

I wish them the best of luck in everything they do

Not surprising but still . I agree with what's been said here re potential and injuries. If only....

I'm glad I had the chance to see them live in Cleveland (although it wasn't their best competition) and at Kimmie's charity show a few summers ago. I would love to see them skate again in a show, somewhere....(Disson?). Best of luck to them as they move on to the next phase of their lives.

I loved their musicality, their speed, and their positions. Sad they couldn't get past the injuries. That Claire de Lune was amazing. Good luck to them in the future.

That was one of those magical performances where everything just "clicked". They should go into retirement very proud of their National title.

Mine too! Besides those damn sbs jumps, everything else they did was wonderful. They had the best chemistry and most polished style of any of the recent US teams.

I was really surprised they came back for this past season. I thought they were gone a year earlier, but....

I wish them good luck in the future.

mine as well. It funny that I allways tougth thta they had everything to be The american pair at the inetrnational leverl, their lits are wonderfull, theyr also have a nice speed and flow and huge jumps...its quite sad thta this last few years they allways missed something.

They are going to continue to be my favorite amarican pair for a long time, i'm not really fan of the past and actual champions in US, they don't have the what Brooke and Ben have (I can explain wjat haha).

    Good luck to them now

Sad to hear this. This pair has such a smoky connection to each other, even when jumps did not work. Their programs were beautiful, intricate, dramatic. They even had the best looking costumes and right music for their temperaments

It seemed that injuries, illness conspired against them.

The Clair de Lune FS and the Ennio Morricone short were my favorites

Yep, that's the only time somebody actually used the beautiful original soundtrack and not some crappy godawful remix.
