Just wanted to let everyone know Keegan Messing is not competing at Sheffield, he was given another JGP event (which hasn't been announced to the public yet).
I wonder how Jeremy's programs are coming along.
He placed 13th in his JGP debut in Sheffield in 2007 and then received his first JGP medal (silver) there in 2008, winning the FS.
ETA on 9/21: It looks like Messing's 2nd JGP will be in Ostrava, CZE (Dornbush has been assigned to Dresden, GER for his 2nd JGP). U.S. only gets 1 man in the last 2 JGPs.
It's now officially confirmed that Jason Brown passed his Senior FS test earlier this summer.

I have heard that Messing's 2nd JGP is Ostrava. I hope he places high! <3
I've added the known byes through Regionals for the Senior Men who have competed so far this summer: http://unseenskaters.wordpress.com/s...r-men-results/
As of now, 5 of the 9 Regionals next month have a Senior Men's event scheduled: North Atlantics, Upper Great Lakes, Southwest Pacifics, Southwesterns and South Atlantics.
Brandon Mroz article in the Oct. 11th Colorado Springs Gazette: http://www.gazette.com/sports/brando...uvergames.html
Mroz competed at Southwestern Regionals this past weekend and scored 71.94 (SP) and 126.62 (FS). The protocols indicate that he landed a solo 4T with negative GOE both in his SP (-2) plus 3A (+1) and 3Lz+2T, and in his FS (-1) along with 4 clean triples.

Jonathan Cassar had a bye through SWP Regionals and will be at Pacific Coast Sectionals. Keegan Messing and Richard Dornbush each have a bye through Coasts due to qualifying for the JGP Final, and Douglas Razzano has a bye through Coasts due to his Senior B assignment in Austria (Ice Challenge). We'll see if any CP or NWP Senior men show up at Coasts.

Hmm. Was Tommy Steenberg required to compete at SA to continue the season? Wesley Campbell has been pretty much MIA this season also.
Steenberg did not compete. He had a bad case of mono in late summer, was in the hospital for two weeks, and was unable to train for six weeks.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe.
I know, I saw that info, but thanks. Does that mean he's out though, or was he byed to Sectionals? (was my question)
Steenberg was required to compete at SA Regionals (6 were registered and he was one of 3 men who withdrew... ETA: the one who withdrew before the starting order was published online) in order to advance to Easterns. So unfortunately he is out for the rest of this season.

What a bummer for Tommy. He could have just showed up and skated in circles and qualified. He would still have had a decent shot at Sectionals, unless he's still not fully recovered...
