Erin and Evan are my favorites too. Either one of them winning the title is fine by me, as long as it's not Nicole. Sorry, but with al her talent she is a bore

you know, all the other stars seem to lose weight during the show. But I actually think that Evan has put on some weight and looks great!

ETA: Erin was on Jay Leno last week and was so amazing. She also talked about her stalker and thanked the FBI and others who helped put him behind bars. She showed a picture of a jaw bruise that she got while covering a baseball game. She is amazing.

Evan pretty good in the Waltz. I think Erin's got him beat by a couple of points here.

    Erin 9 10 9 = 28
    Evan 9 9 9 = 27
    Niecy 7 8 8 = 23
    Chad 7 7 7 = 21

Evan is so internally focused, getting him to be emotional is a real challenge for him. I think he's really grown as the show's progressed.

Erin was smokin'. And believable. What's great is the minute she's out of character, she's a tough-talking tomgirl. I'm really rooting for her.

Poor Evan. All the technical ability and he's just an introvert, not expressive, a reticent personality. Fine for lots of occupations but a hazard in dancing (and skating.)

Pretty good marks despite some of the comments from the judges. I think they're actually thinking about how their scores compare between each of the contestants. I thought they might go a little lower for Evan, but they didn't want to do that and place him more level with Chad and Niecy. It's kind of like the old ordinal scoring in figure skating... the marks didn't matter as much as the ordinal placement that resulted from each judge's scores.

I think there was a big improvement over his Viennese waltz from the first week, much softer.

That is absolutely perfectly said. That's what I get from him, too, and it's a great thing for high achievement, slightly less great for being a Crowd Favorite.
Soft and warm ( aka Waltz) is harder than passionate and precise ( aka Tango).
Loved Erin more today, but I admire Evan quite a bit for the things he does, especially this year.

Erin was FABULOUS. Evan was good. But I think that had they not given Nicey 8s, Evan would not have gotten 9s.

Why would anyone think she's like a dancer just because she was a dance major in college?

If she had the personality, she'd be a shoe in to win it all. Sometimes it's not just the dancing ability.
