So this summer we have a trip planned in which we will make this drive. Anyone ever done this? Any place interesting to stop along the way? Map Quest says it'll take about 4 hours. We're staying in Lake Arrowhead for about 3 days anyone know the area and want to make suggestions as to what to do, what to see, places to eat?? Any tips will be appreciated. I want to check out the Ice Castle training center anyone know if they do any summer ice shows, like Lake Placid does?

My sister drove me to Lake Arrowhead my last time out to see her. It's a beautiful place! Be careful on the mountain road going up!
SCARY! I never get car sick, but that ride was close. You're so close to the edge of the road and the cliffs of the mountain.
Be careful and it's worth the ride!
