According to this Detroit Free Press article, Evan was competing injured through Nationals & Olympics. They took to the ice with their new coaches on Monday.
Can't skate but love to watch
I think Tessa look healthy at WCh, when i saw her "live". She was too tiny at the begining of the season.
I think Meryl is toooo tiny in this season. Last year she look more healthy, IMHO. And she look greate.
Catlin Mallory snt tiny at all.
I think Emily look greate. This team remind me Anisina-Peizerat
Meryl looks fine to me. She seems like one of those people that is just naturally really tiny.
Meryl is beyond stick figure. Have you seen that girl in street clothes, they hang off of her bones. She needs help.
Emily, please do NOT turn into that.
I would have no problem if all the top US pairs skaters went to China to train under Bin Yao - maybe then we would have a medal.
If you look at pictures or footage of her from when Mer/Cha were much younger you can see that she isn't actually *that* thin. Her body type, I mean. As a kid and in the early years of juniors (pre-Igor) she looks like she has a little bit of power in her legs.
I love Meryl but her body this year-- especially noticeable in street clothes, yes-- makes me worry a little, especially training under Igor/Marina.
All this talk about thin women and people want skaters to go to Yin Bao?
This team has just never clicked with me (of course, I'm biased toward NavBoms and wanted them to go to Vancouver); however, I hope it works out for them. That said, I hate to think that there is only one good coaching team for high level dance in North America. The possibility of excellence going to mediocrity here for the dancers in general is increasing.

There's more than one good coaching team (Krylova/Camerlengo come to mind, but they're not the only ones of course). It's just that Igor has all of the influence/politick/etc. that it probably isn't worth going to anyone else if you actually want to get prime international assignments and everything. That ain't gonna change as long as his teams keep winning World medals.![]()
Who else do Krylova/Camerlengo coach? The Hubbells, F/S...
F/S went to Linichuk last fall. I wasbecause Faiella looked so good under Krylova and Camerlengo.

They also share coaching duties with Shae-Lynn for Weaver & Poje , and then they seemed to have few teams at 4CC. Sorry, I can't remember their names, offhand..I thought there was another American team..their rock and roll Od was sort-of interchangeable with the Hubbells..I might be getting myself into trouble, here....
Nice, though...
Edit ; but F/S thankfully kept Camerlengo's choreography.
I think this is great for Emily and Evan. Looking forward to seeing what Igor/Marina can do for them. Mostly hoping that they lose some of the dryness and bring some hotness! Which I think they are more than capable of doing.
